Wolfsburg releases ex-Germany forward Max Kruse

Former Germany forward Max Kruse has agreed to a release from Wolfsburg after not playing for nearly three months because of an injury and a dispute with coach Niko Kovac

Not playing until transfer Kruse has played his last match for Wolfsburg and manager Niko Kovac, according to Rune Gjerulff.

Impact Kruse's issues with Kovac have built throughout the campaign and it appears things have come to a head with Kovac stating he will no longer be selecting Kruse in any capacity. The forward had made five appearances (two starts) before the falling out, and has not been selected to the first team since. Luca Waldschmidt and Lukas Nmecha figure to lead the Wolfsburg line.
