Busy off bench
Choiniere had four tackles (zero won) in Sunday's 2-1 win versus D.C. United.
Impact
Choiniere came on for the final 27 minutes of Saturday's win and provided defensive rigidity to close out the win. The defensive midfielder has been a bench option more often than not lately, though he continues to fill the stat sheet with four tackles against D.C. United. Choiniere will likely find his way back onto the bench against NYCFC on Saturday.

Scores goal in win
Choiniere scored one goal on two shots (one on goal) during Saturday's 2-1 win against Charlotte.
Impact
Choiniere scored a crucial goal in the 47th minute to give Montreal a lead in the second half. The midfielder has recorded two goals in the past three games to tie his career best in only nine appearances for the 2022 season. With his recent success on the offense, Chioniere could find himself in a more permanent spot on the starting XI.

Scores in win
Choiniere scored a goal off his lone shot, created one chance, sent in three crosses (one accurate) and made three tackles (one won) during Saturday's 4-3 win over Cincinnnati.
Impact
Choiniere was back in the starting XI and made some important interventions in the middle of the park, displaying a lot of tenacity while he was on the pitch. And the reward for his hard work came in the first minute of the second half, when he found the back of the net with a beautiful one-timed shot after a teammate deflected a corner kick towards him. This was the first goal of the season for Choiniere and he'll try to remain productive during Jun. 18 home clash against Austin.

Starting against Orlando
Choiniere (foot) is in the starting XI for Saturday's match against Orlando City.
Impact
Choiniere is back in the starting XI Saturday after missing the last two months with a foot injury. He went 65 minutes in his lone start and going a full 90 seems like a stretch in his first match back from an absence.

Quiet in season finale
Choiniere made a clearance in Sunday's 2-0 defeat against Orlando City.
Impact
Choiniere and Montreal didn't get the result they need on Sunday to make it into the playoffs, but that doesn't overshadow the promising and surprising season they had in 2021. Choiniere kept two clean sheets and scored his first two MLS goals in 26 appearances (24 starts), and has become a regular in the his side's XI after missing the entire 2020 campaign.

Takes two shots in loss
Choiniere had two shots (one on target), created one chance, sent in three crosses (one accurate) and made two tackles (one won) and two clearances during Saturday's 1-0 loss again...
Impact
Choiniere was one of the few Montreal players that could be considered a net positive against Nashville, making some plays from the left flank and even having the occasional defensive contributions. He has only one goal and is still to make an assist this season, though, and the lack of appearances on the scoresheet hurts a lot his fantasy value. Up next for the midfielder is Wednesday's visit to Orlando.

Choiniere made two tackles and created one chance during Saturday's 2-1 win over NYRB.

Logs six crosses in loss
Choiniere created one chance from six crosses (one accurate) in 83 minutes of Sunday's 2-1 loss to New England.
Impact
Choiniere has only made five starts all season and Sunday's efforts resulted in his best performance so far. With another match or two like this one, Choiniere should be able to secure his place in the team for a longer stretch of games, beginning with a favorable matchup in Saturday's trip to Inter Miami.
