Returns to matchday squad Digne (not injury related) is included in the squad for Wednesday's Champions League clash against Slovan Bratislava, according to the club.
Impact Digne returns to contention after being left out of the squad against Monaco for tactical reasons. His inclusion gives him another opportunity to work his way into the rotation following a difficult start to his time at PSG. However, Nuno Mendes is also available and remains the undisputed first-choice option at left-back, leaving Digne likely to compete primarily for backup minutes at the position.

Impact Digne had recently been left out of the squad against Monaco due to tactical decisions, with Warren Zaire-Emery holding down the left back spot in his absence. His potential inclusion now offers him a fresh chance to make an impact after his integration proved difficult early on, though his path to regular minutes remains uncertain as PSG navigates its options at the position.

Left out for tactical reasons Digne was left out of PSG's squad for Friday's clash against Monaco due to tactical decisions, the club posted.
Impact Digne's integration has proven difficult amid inconsistent performances since joining the club of the capital, and Warren Zaire-Emery is expected to hold down the left back spot until Nuno Mendes returns from suspension. Digne had started PSG's Super Cup win over Lens just days after signing, though his path to regular minutes now appears less certain as the club navigates its options at the position.

Aston Villa is in turmoil after big-name departures. Next up is Arsenal in the Premier League

A few weeks into the season and Aston Villa is already in turmoil
AUGUST 27 • Associated Press
Starting in friendly debut Digne is in the starting XI for Sunday's Super Cup match against Lens.
Impact Digne is already in the squad for PSG just days after joining the club, with the defender starting for a Super Cup Final against Lens, already having a chance at winning some hardware with his new team. This comes as they leave Nuno Mendes on the bench, with Mendes still expected to be their regular starter at left back. However, both still should see plenty of time with PSG rotating the squad between competitions quite often.

Paris Saint-Germain strengthens defense by signing left back Lucas Digne from Aston Villa

Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain has strengthened its defense by signing left back Lucas Digne from Aston Villa on a three-year contract
AUGUST 10 • Associated Press
Signs with PSG Digne has completed a transfer to PSG from Aston Villa, according to his former club.
Impact Digne is on his way back to his home country for the next stage of his career, as the defender has inked a deal with UCL champions, PSG, after four seasons with Aston Villa. He recorded 182 appearances with Villa, notching four goals and 24 assists as a solid two-way defender on the left flank. He was a key part of the defense last season and will likely leave Ian Maatsen to start at left-back. However, he will now have a tough time finding starting time every match with Nuno Mendes in front of him, although PSG does undergo heavy rotation in league play and Mendes regularly deals with injury.

Spain are going to take some stopping! Winners and losers as La Roja lay down a marker ahead of World Cup final while France's fabled forwards exit with a whimper
Awful performance leads to loss Digne recorded two crosses (zero accurate) and one clearance in Tuesday's 2-0 loss to Spain.
Impact Digne committed a foul that resulted in the penalty kick from which the opposition opened the scoring in Tuesday's clash. The defender did little to offset the error, with his production basically limited to a couple of ball recoveries before his substitution for Theo Hernandez in the 72nd minute. If there's rotation in the third-place match, it could have been an unfortunate end to the competition for Digne, who had previously done a solid job at left-back.
JULY 14 • ROTOWIRE
Three crosses from defense Digne generated one shot (zero on goal) and three crosses (zero accurate) in Thursday's 2-0 win versus Morocco.
Impact Digne was at left-back for France once again, a third straight start for the defender as France continues their World Cup campaign. He would earn a decent two-way effort, recording a shot and three crosses in the attack to go along with one tackle won, an interception and two clearances in the defense. He should remain a starter, with Theo Hernandez as their other option at left-back.
JULY 9 • ROTOWIRE
Makes seven clearances in win Digne registered one shot (one on goal) and seven clearances in Tuesday's 3-0 victory versus Sweden.
Impact Digne was active over 78 minutes on the pitch during his second World Cup appearance, finishing with a game-high total of seven clearances. Other than that, he had a long-range shot stopped by the goalkeeper early in the game. Digne has been part of a rotation with Theo Hernandez, which makes him unreliable for guaranteed playing time, but he holds attacking upside whenever he's on the field, especially with his side dominating against most opposition.
JUNE 30 • ROTOWIRE
Six crosses in victory Digne registered six crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Monday's 3-0 win against Iraq.
Impact Digne got the nod at left-back over Theo Hernandez as manager Didier Deschamps continued to shuffle his back line ahead of the knockout rounds. He logged the full 90 minutes as part of a French defense that pitched a shutout against an Iraq side that generated just 0.6 expected goals throughout the match. Digne also chipped in six crosses and created one chance, while France secured its place in the Round of 32 and now turns its attention to a final group-stage showdown with Norway on June 26.
JUNE 22 • ROTOWIRE
Assists from left-back Digne assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal), two crosses (one accurate) and one corner in Friday's 4-2 victory against Liverpool.
Impact Digne took a single corner and sent in a pair of crosses during Friday's win, but that was enough to earn an assist during the clash. The defender was excellent going forward throughout the match, even with the limited volume. Still he's not likely to get as much room to run in either of his final two matches in all competitions.

Impact Digne recorded a team-high eight crosses Saturday, though he failed to record an accurate cross or a chance created. He also took one off-target shot and took four corners on the attack. On the defensive end he won one tackle, intercepted one pass and made one clearance in his full 90 minutes of action.

APRIL 21 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles in service Digne had six crosses (two accurate) and one corner in Sunday's 3-1 defeat against Manchester United.
Impact Digne had some good moments but most of his crosses were inaccurate in Sunday's loss. The defender should be better against Lille, a side which did concede to Aston Villa in the first leg of the UEL Round of 16 and has allowed 33 goals in Ligue 1 play through 26 games.
MARCH 15 • ROTOWIRE
Assists late goal to seal 2-0 win Digne assisted once to go with two crosses (two accurate) and one corner in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Newcastle United. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 79th minute.
Impact Digne provided his fourth assist of the season as he crossed to the back post, where Ollie Watkins was able to put it into the back of the net. The left back has only started two of the last 10 Premier League matches although has featured in 22 of the 23 league games this year.
JANUARY 26 • ROTOWIRE
Poor accuracy in service Digne generated five crosses (one accurate) and two corners in Tuesday's 4-1 defeat against Arsenal.
Impact The defender managed to get in some service but only one of his five crosses were considered accurate. Digne should continue to be involved offensively against a poor Nottingham Forest defense Saturday and if he can be more accurate, his crosses could generate an assist or two.
DECEMBER 30, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Season high in crosses Digne registered one shot (zero on goal), nine crosses (three accurate) and five corners in Sunday's 1-0 win over Wolverhampton.
Impact Digne led the team with a season-high nine crosses, including five corners, while helping secure his fourth clean sheet. The defender has started all but one game for Villa in the league, attempting 53 crosses and creating 12 chances, which have resulted in three assists.
NOVEMBER 30, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Assist in win over Cherries Digne assisted once to go with eight crosses (two accurate) and four corners in Sunday's 4-0 victory against AFC Bournemouth.
Impact Digne provided a precise delivery Sunday that led to Villa's third goal; his corner was met by Ross Barkley's header in the 77th minute. Other than the goal contribution his performance could have been better. He won just three of the nine duels he engaged in and placed only two of his eight crosses accurately. The regular starting left-back is typically impactful, he has produced three assists and contributed to three clean sheets.
NOVEMBER 10, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Starting Sunday Digne (leg) is in the starting XI for Sunday's clash with Manchester City.
Impact Digne is back in the starting XI after missing out in the Europa League due to a gashed ankle. It was never expected to be a serious injury even if it was a painful one. The defender has been the top choice whenever fit, and keeps Ian Maatsen on the bench Sunday.
OCTOBER 26, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Status unknown Digne (leg) is in doubt for Sunday's clash with Manchester City, after missing Thursday's clash with Go Ahead Eagles.
Impact Digne suffered a gashed leg after a heavy challenge from Kevin Danso, and missed a 2-1 loss to Go Ahead Eagles in the Europa League. If Digne can't go during Sunday's clash it would likely be Ian Maatsen who gets the start against Manchester City.
OCTOBER 24, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Out for Europa League match Digne is out for Thursday's match against Go Ahead Eagles due to injury, according to manager Unai Emery. "[Lucus is] not here because [he is] injured."
Impact Digne will sit out Thursday's match due to injury complications, suffering an undisclosed issue ahead of the contest. The club will be without their starting left-back, who has started in seven of his 10 appearances this season, with Ian Maatsen as a likely replacement. It is unknown if this will force him to miss Sunday's match against Manchester City as well, as Maatsen would likely continue at left-back against City if Digne misses out.
OCTOBER 22, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Assists in Sunday's win Digne assisted once to go with five crosses (zero accurate) and one corner in Sunday's 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
