The defender has been effective this season filling in for Dani Carvajal, who is sidelined with a long term knee injury. Vazquez has contributed two goals and one assist across all competitions, along with 27 crosses and 28 tackles. Federico Valverde is expected to fill in as right-back in his absence.

Suffers adductor injury Vazquez suffered an adductor injury in Saturday's 4-0 win over Osasuna and doesn't have a specific timetable for his return, the club announced Monday.

Impact Adductor injuries can be tricky, and Vazquez is expected to be sidelined for at least a few weeks at a bare minimum. This is a huge loss for Real Madrid, as Dani Carvajal (knee) and Eder Militao (knee) are out for the entire season, while David Alaba (knee) hasn't returned to action yet. The club will have to improvise on the right side of the defense with their only two options for the right-back role sidelined.
