Out for season finale Beyer (hamstring) won't be an option for Sunday's game against Wolverhampton, according to manager Michael Jackson. "He had a few complications, so hopefully, just for himself, if...

Impact Beyer didn't play a single game in the 2025/26 season due to nagging injury issues, and based on Jackson's words, the expectation would be to have the defender back at some point of the pre-season before the 2026/27 campaign. Beyer hasn't played for Burnley since the 2023/24 campaign.

Still recovering Beyer (hamstring) is still a "little way off" from a return, according to manager Scott Parker, per Holly Bacon of the BBC.

Impact Beyer is still not an option as he deals with his hamstring injury, as the defender needs a bit more time to recover. The good news is that it has been acknowledged before that he is training in some capacity, likely just needing to build up fitness after an injury absence dating back to the start of the season. He only returned from a 19-month-long injury absence in July and has now been out since September, so this is a tough run for the defender, hoping to at least be deemed fit again this season.

Impact Beyer has been recovering from a hamstring injury and has been training a bit on grass in the last few weeks but the staff is easing him back slowly into the mix to avoid any new setbacks. The defender will hold a bench role once fully back fit after such a long time on the sidelines, therefore his long term absence has no impact on the starting lineup.

Impact Beyer is still struggling with an injury after suffering a setback this week, now expected to miss further time. That said, the club won't see him in contention for a few more weeks and possibly even months, with the defender yet to debut this season. Once he returns, a limited role will only be expected for the defender.

Impact Beyer is still working on his return to play, and the club appears to be cautious with how they are taking these steps, not rushing the defender into play. He has yet to debut this season, so he will look to return and be fit as soon as possible, although that seems a while away. He has yet to debut this campaign and hasn't played in a competitive match in close to 22 months, a rough spell for the defender.

Impact Bayer spent nearly two years sidelined with a knee injury, and even though he returned to action in the summer, he's now recovering from another injury. He's trending in the right direction, but there's no clear date for a return to action. Even when he's fit, however, he shouldn't be an option to see regular minutes.

Plays 20 after 19 months out Beyer (knee) played 20 minutes in a friendly against Fleetwood Town, according to Matt Scrafton of the Burnley Express.

Impact Beyer is seeing a huge step in a long road of recovery, as the defender has finally taken the field again after 19 months out with a knee injury. There is likley still some hesitation around the defender and it may take him some time to get 100 percent, although this is good news. He should return to full fitnes to enter the seasn if he can avoud anymore setbacks.

Multiple setbacks Beyer (knee) suffered multiple setbacks from a knee injury, the player announced in an interview.

Impact Beyer's status throughout the season was odd. The defender was playing through pain and then was ruled out for an extended period before eventually he was ruled out for the season. It appears he underwent a knee surgery in October and then suffered multiple bone-related setbacks. Beyer will be hoping to get fit before heading to the Championship with Burnley in 2024/25.

Impact Beyer won't be back before the end of the season, this is a disappointing turn as it was hoped he'd be back multiple times. Kompany was still cagey as always but it seems more likely than not that Beyer suffered some sort of setback to be ruled out like this. Beyer's season ends with 15 appearances (15 starts) and a single assist, when fit he will be a key piece in the starting XI.

Still no timeline Beyer (undisclosed) still has no timeline for his return, according to manager Vincent Kompany. "But with those injuries, I can't put a time on it."

Impact Beyer still not even having a timeline for his recovery is becoming a significant concern. Kompany is notoriously stingy with injury information, but this isn't looking positive for Beyer. When he's back he will be a crucial piece of the starting XI, but that may not be for multiple weeks.

Impact Beyer has already been out of action for four matches due to his undisclosed injury. At this point, he should probably be considered out indefinitely until the manager can provide a little more insight on his resumption of team training. Maxime Esteve, who joined the club on loan during the January window, figures to remain in the starting XI with Beyer unfit to play.

Impact Beyer looks to be set for another week on the sidelines, being listed as out for a fourth straight contest. The defender still has not been viewed in practice, and no information has been given on his rehabilitation process, so it is difficult to put a time stamp on when he may return. He will look to return within the next couple of weeks, and hopefully, more on his injury issues will be announced in the coming days.

Not an option Beyer (undisclosed) is out for Wednesday's match against Manchester City.

Impact Beyer is once again not an option for Burnley, which should come as no surprise with the defender holding a doubtful tag coming into the match. This will be the player's second match missed with the issue, and he will hope to return against Fulham on Saturday. Hjalmar Ekdal once again replaces Beyer in the center of the defense.

Impact Beyer was unavailable versus Luton Town on Jan. 12 but has had some extra time to get back to 100 percent before Wednesday's clash. With the short week, Beyer should probably be considered a doubt versus Fulham on Saturday if he is unable to face Man City on Wednesday. Hjalmar Ekdal could keep his place in the starting XI if Beyer remains out.

Out versus Luton Beyer (undisclosed) is out for Friday's match against Luton Town.

Impact Beyer is not ready for a return, having been left out of the team sheet as he deals with an undisclosed injury. The defender was facing a late fitness test coming into the match, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that he is not on the team Friday. He will hope to heal up before the club's next match against Manchester City on Jan. 31.

JANUARY 12, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Facing fitness test Beyer (strain) will be a fitness test for Friday's match against Luton Town, according to manager Vincent Kompany per the Burley Express.

Impact Beyer was given a "hopeful" status to return last week after picking up a strain against Aston Villa. He's been able to start all 15 matches played at center back for the team, averaging about 4.5 clearances per game after already surpassing his career high of clearances with 68. If the defender does not pass fitness, then Hannes Delcroix could see another start in the back alongside Dara O'Shea on Friday.

Busy defensively versus Fulham Beyer made two tackles (both won), nine clearances and three interceptions, helped his side to keep a clean sheet and was shown a yellow card during Saturday's 2-0 win over Fulham.

Impact Beyer was rock-solid at the heart of the defense as his side had to withstand some stretches of heavy pressure despite the final score suggesting another kind of game. This was the third time this season with nine clearances in a match for the center-back, with two of them taking place over the last three starts.

DECEMBER 25, 2023 • ROTOWIRE

Busy defensively versus Brighton Beyer made two tackles (one won), nine clearances, two interceptions and two blocks during Saturday's 1-1 draw against Brighton.

Impact Beyer returned to the team after serving a one-match ban and was one of the biggest reasons why his side was able to withstand such pressure from the opposition for almost the entire contest. After matching his season high in clearances, the center-back will try to keep it up during next Saturday's clash against Everton.

DECEMBER 11, 2023 • ROTOWIRE

Set for return Beyer is eligible for selection for Saturday's trip to Brighton after serving a one-match ban.

Impact Beyer missed the 1-0 loss to Wolves due to the suspension but is now eligible to return. The defender should be straight back into the starting XI, with his return more likely than not sending Hjalmar Ekdal back to the bench.

DECEMBER 5, 2023 • ROTOWIRE

Won't face Wolverhampton Beyer picked up his fifth yellow card and will be suspended for Tuesday's match at Wolverhampton.

Impact Beyer picked up his first assist of the season against Sheffield United on Saturday, but unfortunately, he also picked up his fifth yellow card, so he will miss the Tuesday clash at Wolverhampton. The absence of Beyer will leave a huge void at the back, but he should be ready to return when the Clarets take on Brighton on Saturday.

DECEMBER 4, 2023 • ROTOWIRE

Makes three clearances Beyer registered three clearances in Saturday's 2-0 defeat versus Crystal Palace.

Impact Beyer got his first start since Oct 3 while also having a quiet day Saturday. He is averaging about 4.1 clearances and three tackles per match after logging in 17 tackles and 25 clearances in the last six games played.

NOVEMBER 4, 2023 • ROTOWIRE

Starting against Palace Beyer (undisclosed) is in the starting lineup for Saturday's clash against Crystal Palace.

Impact Beyer returned to training earlier this week and was deemed "positive and training well" by manager Vincent Kompany, so his return to the starting lineup is not a surprise. He's set to return following a three-game absence after starting in each of his previous six league appearances.

Impact Beyer returned to training and could even return immediately to the starting XI on Saturday. Luton are already totally desperate for points and Beyer is probably the top defensive option so if he can go at all he may be called upon to replace Hannes Delcroix.
