Alexis Mac Allister - Three tackles in win Mac Allister recorded two shots (one on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Egypt.
Impact Mac Allister registered two shots (one on target), one cross and three tackles (two won) across his 90 minutes in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Egypt, heading Messi's delivery toward goal only to be denied by another outstanding Mostafa Shobeir save in what was one of Argentina's closest first-half chances. The Brighton midfielder completed 35 passes and contributed to the defensive recovery that allowed Argentina to push Egypt back in the second half, and his consistency across the knockout rounds makes him one of the most reliable midfield options heading into the quarterfinals.

Alexis Mac Allister - Earns assist Mac Allister assisted once to go with two shots (zero on goal) and two chances created in Friday's 3-2 win against Cape Verde.
Impact Mac Allister would play the full 120 minutes for Argentina Friday, seeing a decent match in the middle as he completed 80 passes. He would convert two of those into chances created and one of his chances created into an assist, finding Lisandro Martinez in the 92nd minute. This is his first goal contribution of the tournament in his four appearances (three starts), recording four goals and three chances created thus far.

Vitezslav Jaros - Back in England Jaros (knee) will return to parent club Liverpool after sustaining a serious knee injury that required surgery, ending his loan spell at Ajax early.
Impact Jaros made six Champions League starts across 540 minutes for Ajax before the injury struck in February, saving 18 of 31 shots faced in that competition. He had also made 19 Eredivisie starts averaging 3.3 saves and 1.2 goals conceded per game while keeping five clean sheets before the season-ending setback. Jaros now returns to Liverpool to continue his rehabilitation.

JULY 1 • Associated Press
Jeremy Jacquet - Joins Liverpool on long-term deal Jacquet signed with Liverpool from Stade Rennais on a long-term contract, the club announced.
Impact Jacquet came through the Rennes academy before making 33 senior appearances for the club, including 21 during the 2025-26 campaign before a shoulder injury in February cut his season short. The 20-year-old French center-back also built up valuable experience with 24 appearances during a loan spell of around 12 months at Clermont Foot. Jürgen Klopp Addresses Links To Germany Coaching Job Following World Cup Exit
Alexander Isak - World Cup ends against France Isak logged two shots (one on goal) during Sweden's 3-0 loss to France on Tuesday.
Impact In terms of shots on goal for the World Cup, Isak was consistent, logging either one or two each game. Unfortunately for him, competing against a top France was an insurmountable challenge that abruptly ends his WC campaign. Even though Isak logged only one goal, the striker averaged a 1.00 G/A using chance creations. With seven created, he logged three assists, boosting some of his relatively proven teammates like Anthony Elanga, Mattias Svanberg and Viktor Gyokeres. France game aside, Isak's updated form is decently high; so ideally for the forward's club Liverpool, he will be in better shape a season after his record signing.

Virgil Van Dijk - Plays possible final World Cup game Van Dijk generated six clearances in Monday's 1-1 (4-3) penalty shootout loss versus Morocco.
Impact Van Dijk didn't leave the field Monday, but was also not one of the five players chosen to take a penalty kick for the Dutch as they exited the tournament. This comes in a match where Van Dijk found himself with plenty to do, recording six clearances as Morocco stayed active near the Dutch box. The defender did see a pretty good World Cup in what could be his last at age 34, although he could have one more in the tank. That said, he ends with one goal on two shots and one assist on a chance created in the attack to go along with one tackle, three interceptions and 30 clearances in the defense.
JUNE 29 • ROTOWIRE
Ryan Gravenberch - Quiet in loss Gravenberch recorded two shots (zero on goal) in Monday's 1-1 (4-3) penalty shootout loss versus Morocco.
Impact Gravenberch was not too active outside of his defensive work on Monday, as the midfielder was constantly marked or challenged immediately after receiving the ball with only two true midfielders in the formation. He would record two shots and an interception, with his day easy explained after only completing 18 passes in the middle. The Liverpool player ended the 2026 World Cup with two assists on two chances created, starting in all four games in the middle for the Netherlands.
JUNE 29 • ROTOWIRE
Cody Gakpo - Scores in World Cup elimination Gakpo recorded one goal on one shot to go along with a cross in Monday's 1-1 (3-4) penalty shootout loss to Morocco.
Impact Gakpo would find the back of the net for the Dutch as they captured an early lead Monday before their eventual loss, scoring in the 72nd minute. He would be subbed off before the penalty shootout as he struggled before cramps, likely needed for the shootout after two misses and a save. He ends his World Cup with a decent three goals on six shots and one assist on three chances created, now only one off of tying the all-time Dutch record for World Cup goals with his six.
JUNE 29 • ROTOWIRE
Florian Wirtz - Earns assist Wirtz assisted once to go with two shots (zero on goal), 10 crosses (five accurate) and two corners in Monday's 1-1 (5-4) penalty shootout loss against Paraguay.
Impact Wirtz would create four chances Monday, and one would eventually lead to a goal, earning an assist on Kai Havertz's 54th-minute goal. This would give the attacker his second straight match with an assist, giving him three in Germany's World Cup run. He exits the tournament, also notching 10 shots, 10 chances created, and 13 crosses, although he couldn't earn a goal.
JUNE 29 • ROTOWIRE
Alisson - Makes one save in win Alisson made one save and allowed one goal in Monday's 2-1 win against Japan.
Impact Alisson conceded once and made one save in Brazil's last minute Round of 32 win over Japan. The goalkeeper also made one clearance during the match. He is now heading to Round of 16 with 11 saves and two goals allowed in four starts.
JUNE 29 • ROTOWIRE
Alexander Isak - Decoy for Sweden's goal Isak generated two shots (two on goal) and one chance created in Thursday's 1-1 draw versus Japan.
Impact Isak played 90 minutes in the final World Cup group stage game, and this was the first game that he failed to have a goal involvement despite having two shots on target. The striker was used as a decoy for Anthony Elanga to find the far corner of the goal. His strike for the far corner looked as if it could have been headed into the goal, and therefore the keeper couldn't react, and therefore Elanga found the corner. He has created seven chances across the three group stage games, creating three assists and he scored his only goal in the opening game.
JUNE 26 • ROTOWIRE
Alisson - Keeps second clean sheet Alisson had five saves and allowed zero goals in Wednesday's 3-0 victory over Scotland.
Impact Alisson logged his second clean sheet in the World Cup to help Brazil finish group stage unbeaten and in the first place. The goalkeeper made five saves and now has 10 after three games. He will now face a tougher matchup against Japan in the Round of 32 on Jun 29.
