Offered new deal following loan Gibson -- who returned from a loan with Bristol City -- was given a new contract offer by Everton on Friday.

Impact Gibson made 33 appearances for League One side Bristol City in which he recorded one goal and received four yellow cards. Following the departures of Conor Coady and Yerry Mina, there could be a spot in the first team for Gibson if he elects to extend his stay with the club.

New deal in works Gibson and Everton are working on completing a new deal, the team announced Friday.

Impact Gibson spent the season on loan with Sheffield Wednesday for which he made six appearances this year. While Gibson should see the bulk of his minutes with the youth setup, barring another transfer, he could be in line to make his senior debut this year, especially following the departure of Jonjoe Kenny.
