Impact Gerbet had been out for the entire first half of the 2026 MLS season before finally leaving his injury troubles behind. The midfielder may still require a few weeks to become a viable starter following his recovery from ACL surgery, but the fact that he already got minutes on the pitch is an encouraging sign. He may be used in a central midfield rotation alongside Eduard Atuesta, Luis Otavio and Wilder Cartagena going forward.
