Loaned to Bochum Schlotterbeck has joined VfL Bochum on a six-month loan from SC Freiburg, the club announced Monday.

Impact Schlotterbeck hasn't quite caught on at Freiburg like his younger brother Nico did, as he's made just 14 Bundesliga appearances (three starts) since the start of the 2021/22 season. The 25-year-old is now moving to Bochum for the remainder of this campaign, where there is a much more open competition for the starting spots in central defense.
