Julio Soler - Soccer News, Rumors, & Updates

Wins tackle in brief cameo Soler had one tackle (one won) in Saturday's 5-1 defeat against Chelsea.

Impact Soler played the final six minutes of regulation Saturday after replacing Adrien Truffert with Bournemouth trailing 5-1. He won his only attempted tackle but recorded no clearances or interceptions as Chelsea saw out the closing stages without much attacking urgency. With Truffert continuing to handle the starting role at left-back, Soler's limited playing time leaves little room for meaningful fantasy production.

Yet to make 2026/27 debut Soler has yet to play a single minute for Bournemouth in the 2026/27 season.

Impact The left-back has been limited to nine first-team appearances for Bournemouth in the Premier League and the FA Cup over the last two seasons, but he still hasn't logged his first competitive minutes in 2026/27. The left-back is a depth option and a long-term bet for the Cherries, so his fantasy appeal should remain minimal, especially given how little he's played in recent months.

Trains fully in preseason Soler (hamstring) is training fully with the squad in preseason, confirming he is back fit from his injury, the club posted.

Impact Soler's clean bill of health is an encouraging sign after a hamstring injury limited him to just three Premier League appearances totaling 34 minutes last season. A fully healthy start to preseason gives him a real chance to compete for minutes in the squad under new coach Marco Rose after a deeply frustrating previous campaign.

JULY 19 • ROTOWIRE

Out for season final Soler (hamstring) will miss Sunday's final Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest.

Impact Soler brings the curtain down on a deeply frustrating campaign, having managed just three Premier League appearances totaling 34 minutes without a single goal contribution. The Spanish midfielder spent a large portion of the second half of the season sidelined with the hamstring problem, severely limiting his ability to make an impact. His availability and fitness heading into next season will be a key storyline to monitor during the offseason.

Left out Soler (hamstring) is out for Wednesday's match against Leeds United.

Impact Soler was a late call for Wednesday, but has not made the call, still out due to his hamstring injury. The good news for the defender is he will now have until the May 3 match against Palace to continue recovery, seeing over a week off. However, with only three appearances off the bench all season, he is likely to see a minimal role once fit.

APRIL 22 • ROTOWIRE

Return still open Soler (hamstring) remains in question for a return during Wednesday's match against Leeds United after he wasn't mentioned in manager Andoni Iraloa's press conference.

Impact Soler has been building up fitness and trying for a return for the past few weeks, and the picture around the defender seems not to have developed much, as he was not mentioned in the injury report. This will leave his use moving forward in question as the season nears an end, potentially returning at any time after the long layoff. Even once he does return, a smaller role will be handed to the left-back, only appearing from the bench in all three appearances this season.

Sill out Saturday Soler (hamstring) is ruled out for Saturday's clash against Newcastle.

Impact Soler has been unable to earn a place in the matchday squad despite building his fitness in team training over the past two weeks and the club posting an encouraging update ahead of the weekend. The hamstring strain has proven more stubborn than anticipated, and the club's measured approach to his return has led to another absence after he was already ruled out of the Arsenal fixture last weekend. Adrien Truffert is expected to retain the left-back spot, with Soler's availability for the coming fixtures to be monitored as he continues to build toward a competitive return.

Ramping up fitness Soler (hamstring) has been building his fitness in team training over the past two weeks and could be an option for Saturday's clash against Newcastle, the club posted.

Impact Soler had been ruled out of the Arsenal fixture despite returning to training during the international break, but his progression over the past week is an encouraging sign that he is closing in on a competitive return. The club is clearly taking a measured approach given the nature of the hamstring strain, and his involvement against Newcastle will depend on how he responds in the final sessions before the weekend. Adrien Truffert has been holding down the left-back spot in his absence and should retain the role moving forward.

Remains out Saturday Soler (hamstring) is ruled out for Saturday's clash against Arsenal.

Impact Soler returned to team training during the international break after a hamstring strain that had threatened to end his season prematurely, but has not yet recovered sufficiently to earn a spot in the matchday squad. Coach Andoni Iraola had acknowledged he was not ready to handle significant minutes, and the club opted to exercise caution rather than rush him back. Adrien Truffert is expected to retain the left-back role, with Soler's return to action likely to come gradually over the coming weeks.

Impact Soler had been at risk of missing the remainder of the season with the hamstring strain, making his return to team sessions a more positive development than initially expected. The defender figures to ease back into action gradually rather than being thrown straight in. Adrien Truffert is expected to hold the left-back role for the Cherries until he returns to full speed.

APRIL 10 • ROTOWIRE

Could miss rest of season Soler could miss the rest of the season after picking a hamstring injury, coach Andoni Iraola said in a press conference, according to Alexander Smith from the Bournemouth Echo.

Impact Soler picked up a hamstring strain in recent weeks that could sideline him for the remainder of the season. The defender had already been operating as a depth piece off the bench, so his absence shouldn't shake up the Cherries' starting XI.

Dealing with apparent injury Soler (undisclosed) missed Monday's 1-1 draw against Brighton due to an apparent injury, according to Alexander Smith from the Bournemouth Daily Echo.

Impact Soler was left out of the squad for Monday's clash against the Seagulls, as he is reportedly dealing with an undisclosed injury. The defender started the FA Cup game against Newcastle United and was expected to be a bench option for Monday's clash before ultimately missing out. The Argentinian will likely be assessed in the coming days to determine the extent of the issue, although a potential absence should not impact the starting XI since Adrien Truffert remains the preferred starter at left back.

Impact Soler has remained a depth defensive option since signing for Bournemouth, and is showing no signs of taking a larger role. Barring a bevy of injuries, he's likely to remain an option only in Cup competitions, or off the bench.

Impact Soler finally made his Premier League debut after making two starts in the FA Cup. The defender has consistently been on the bench in the Premier League but now made his first appearance. Soler will likely remain one for the future with limited chances in the Premier League.
