GAME LOG

Starting at Chelsea King (illness) is in the starting XI for Sunday's match against Chelsea.
Impact King surprisingly returns to the starting XI for Watford's final match of the season after missing the last two with an illness. With nothing to play for, it's a wonder why he's in above one of the youngsters, but he'll hope to add to his goal tally in a tough trip to Chelsea.
MAY 22, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Back for finale King (illness) has recovered and is available for Sunday's finale against Chelsea, according to manager Roy Hodgson.
Impact King was thought to be done for the season after missing two matches with an "illness" after relegation was confirmed, but it looks like he could play Sunday. His addition could remove either Samuel Kalu or Ken Sema from the starting XI, but there's a chance Hodgson doesn't want to take away time from those two, as King has had plenty of opportunities to shine this season.
MAY 20, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with illness King is suffering from an illness and may miss Wednesday's match against Everton, according to manager Roy Hodgson.
Impact It doesn't sound like King will play Wednesday after going a full 90 in the loss to Crystal Palace. Compared to some of the other players in the team, this seems like a real illness for King. Unfortunately for him, his days of playing in the Premier League are close to over despite showing up with a hat trick earlier this season against Everton, who are Wednesday's opponent.
MAY 10, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Back in starting XI King (hamstring) is in the starting XI for Thursday's match against Wolverhampton.
Impact King is in the starting XI Thursday, though it's unknown how healthy he is after missing the last match with a hamstring issue. He's starting because Joao Pedro is out and in addition to it being a difficult matchup, it's hard to see King going a full 90 with this issue.
MARCH 10, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Late test against Wolves King (hamstring) is a late-fitness check for Thursday's match against Wolverhampton.
Impact King missed the loss against Arsenal and seems unlikely to start Thursday on a short week. Watford's attack played well in the loss, as Cucho Hernandez took part in a couple goals and Joao Pedro went a full 90, somewhat out of necessity.
MARCH 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Not in squad Sunday King is not in the match day squad to face Arsenal on Sunday.
Impact King will miss out on the trip due to an undisclosed injury. Cucho Hernandez will help lead the line in the forward's absence.
MARCH 6, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Training ahead of Manchester trip King (undisclosed) has been training and is expected to be available for Saturday's trip to Manchester United, according to manager Roy Hodgson.
Impact King looks fine ahead of Saturday and should be in his usual starting XI role. Of course, that doesn't mean everything, as he's totaled just one shot on goal in his last four starts and hasn't hit the back of the net since November. Despite being a regular up front, the numbers haven't been there the last two months for King.
FEBRUARY 25, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Picks up injury in loss King was forced off in the 51st minute of Wednesday's loss against Crystal Palace with an undisclosed injury.
Impact King picked up a knock in training earlier in the week and then playing Wednesday made it worse, so there's a chance he misses Saturday's trip to Manchester. If that's the case, Cucho Hernandez is next in line to start, depending on the health of Joao Pedro.
FEBRUARY 24, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Creates three chances as striker King created three chances during a 1-1 draw Saturday against Newcastle United.
Impact King was the Watford team's primary chance creator Saturday. Across his last six starts as a striker, he created 11 chances. The rate is good for strikers not expected to create scoring opportunities.

Assists against West Ham King assisted one goal from his only chance created, took two shots (one on target), sent in two crosses (one accurate), made three tackles (two won) and one interception in Tuesda...
Impact King assisted Emmanuel Dennis' opener in the fourth minute, but they conceded the comeback to West Ham and ended up with the loss at home. The forward now has five goals and three assists in the season, and will look to get on the scoresheet again when they host Tottenham on Saturday.
DECEMBER 29, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Clash versus Palace postponed King and Watford won't be playing against Crystal Palace on Saturday as the match has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.
Impact Watford has been experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak at the club and are unable to play this weekend. They will hope to be able to recover and be ready to return by next weekend's Boxing Day clash against Wolves.

Converts PK in road loss King scored one goal from three shots and made one interception in Sunday's 4-2 loss at Leicester.
Impact King scored the 1-1 equalizer in the 30th minute, converting a penalty kick, but it wasn't enough to avoid the road loss. He had a quiet outing other than that. The forward now has five goals in the season, and will look for another one when they host Chelsea on Wednesday.
NOVEMBER 30, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Scores in rout King scored once on six shots (two on goal) during Saturday's 4-1 win over Manchester United.
Impact King scored his fourth goal of the season during Saturday's win. The striker has been in excellent form of late, and is peppering opponents goals with shots. He will be an interesting play Sunday, away to Leicester.
NOVEMBER 20, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Scores hat trick against old club King scored three goals from six shots (four on target) and conceded a yellow card during Saturday's 5-2 win over Everton.
Impact King collected his first goals of the season after going with just two shots on target in his first six appearances. It was a sweet result after he failed to score in 11 appearances for Everton in the spring of 2021, and he could recapture some of the form that makes him a quality pick on his best days. Up next is a visit from Southampton, which have conceded the joint second-fewest shots on goal to forwards.

Back in starting XI King (knee) is in the starting XI for Saturday's match against Everton.
Impact King is healthy again and he's in favor of manager Claudio Ranieri, as he gets the start over Emmanuel Dennis on Saturday. Prior to injury, King had produced two shots on goal in five starts so even in the XI, opportunities aren't guaranteed.
OCTOBER 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Option against Toffees King (knee) is available for Saturday's trip to Everton, according to the team.
Impact King is again an option, but that doesn't mean he'll move into the starting XI under new manager Claudio Ranieri. Cucho Hernandez got his first start of the season last match, so it looks like those two could battle for starts going forward. King has managed no goals and two assists in five starts this season.
OCTOBER 21, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Unavailable versus Liverpool King (knee) did not make the match-day squad list to face Liverpool Saturday.
Impact King has resumed training earlier in the week, but he is not quite ready to return yet. Cucho Hernandez and Emmanuel Dennis are starting up front for Watford in this one.
OCTOBER 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Back in training King (knee) returned to training this week and will be a late test for Saturday's match against Liverpool.
Impact This is a great sign for King, who originally had a two-week timeline a week ago. The hope is that he isn't returning too soon to impress the new manager. His question will be playing time in what is expected to be a new formation under Claudio Ranieri.
OCTOBER 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hopeful to return within two weeks King suffered a "minor ligament strain" last weekend and is pushing for a return within the fortnight.
Impact King has a chance to be ready for the Oct. 16 match against Liverpool, but with any muscle injury, it's not good to return when you're not 100 percent healthy. If he can get some training in before then, he'll be an option to start under Claudio Ranieri, but if not, Ken Sema is an option, among others.
OCTOBER 7, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Leaves injured Saturday King was forced off before the break in Saturday's match against Leeds with an injury.
Impact King had gone a full 90 in the prior two matches, assisting in both contests. He's started each of the last five matches for Watford, but if he can't recover over the break, he'll have to be replaced in the XI with Cucho Hernandez and Ken Sema possible options to take his spot
OCTOBER 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Records assist against Newcastle King took two shots and assisted a goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Newcastle United. He also made two clearances and a block in the match.
Impact King grabbed his second assist in as many games Saturday, setting up Ismaila Sarr's equalizer. King hasn't scored a Premier League goal since Project Restart in July 2020, but he will try to end the drought next weekend against Leeds, which have already conceded 14 in six matches this season.
SEPTEMBER 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Records assist in win King took two shots (one on target) and assisted a goal in Saturday's 3-1 victory against Norwich City.
Impact King set up Ismaila Sarr's game winner against Norwich for his first assist of the season. He is still looking to get his first goal, and next weekend clash against 18th-placed Newcastle -- which have conceded 13 goals in five Premier League matches -- provides a good opportunity for it.
