Loaned to Malaga Salinas has been loaned to Malaga from Espanyol, according to his new club.

Impact Salinas is remaining in La Liga play but is switching teams, as he joins Malaga on a season-long loan with an option to buy. This comes after he earned limited time with Espanyol last season, notching two starts in 11 appearances for only 250 minutes of play. At age 26, he still has limited experience in La Liga play after debuting in the league last campaign. That said, he seems to be more of a rotational pick for the team now, adding depth they will need after promotion.

Unfortunate own-goal Salinas had an own goal, one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Monday's 4-1 loss to Villarreal. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 6th minute.

Impact Salinas was in a starting role Monday for his first appearance in five games, only his second start in nine appearances. However, it would go far from planned, allowing four goals while scoring an own-goal for himself, a day to forget altogether. He should drop back to the bench moving forward, more of a rotational player.

Joins Espanyol Salinas has joined Espanyol on a free transfer after leaving Elche, his new club announced.

Impact Salinas is leaving Elche as a free agent after seven years at the club, including time with the youth teams, senior squad, and during his loan spells at Unionistas CF and CD Mirandes. The left-back played 65 games for Elche and recorded three goals along with three assists. Salinas will now discover La Liga with Espanyol, having not featured yet in the Spanish top flight.
