GAME LOG

Earns backup job Urbig made eight Bundesliga starts in the second half of the season with Munich.
Impact Urbig was a mid-season addition, potentially as the heir-apparent to Manuel Neuer, and immediately took a starting role with Neuer injured. In the end Urbig played 12 total matches, keeping three clean sheets and allowing 16 goals. It wasn't a brilliant showing, but it was likely enough to establish Urbig as the backup moving forward.
MAY 20 • ROTOWIRE
Three saves Saturday Urbig recorded three saves and allowed three goals in Saturday's 3-3 draw versus RB Leipzig.
Impact Urbig faced six shots and stopped three of them. It's been a whirlwind campaign for the goalkeeper, who began life in the 2. Bundesliga and now played the title-clinching game in the top flight. Urbig remains behind Manuel Neuer in the depth chart, but has made his case to be the goalkeeper of the future for Munich.
MAY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Keeps clean sheet in win Urbig had three saves and allowed zero goals in Saturday's 3-0 win against Mainz.
Impact Urbig logged his third clean sheet in 11 appearances (10 starts) to help Bayern win on the road. The goalkeeper made three or more saves for the fourth time over that span. He will now look to keep the momentum at RB Leipzig on Saturday.

Leverkusen delays Bayern's Bundesliga title celebrations and Kane set to miss the party

Bayer Leverkusen has postponed Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga title celebrations
APRIL 26
Logs one-save clean sheet Urbig recorded one save and secured a clean sheet in Saturday's 4-0 victory versus FC Heidenheim.
Impact For the clean sheet, all Urbig needed to do was save Sirlord Conteh's lone shot on goal. Up next for Bayern Munich is FSV Mainz 05 on April 26. If Manuel Neuer (calf) continues to be out, Urbig is expected to be Bayern's goalkeeper against Mainz.
APRIL 19 • ROTOWIRE
Stops four shots Urbig registered four saves and allowed two goals in Wednesday's 2-2 draw against Inter Milan.
Impact Urbig continued to start in place of the injured Manuel Neuer and put together a decent if not monumental showing Wednesday. It really wasn't a bad performance, especially considering Urbig was playing in the 2. Bundesliga until the winter transfer window. Urbig will continue as the starter until Neuer is fit once more.
APRIL 16 • ROTOWIRE
Single save in draw Urbig registered one save and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-2 draw versus Borussia Dortmund.
Impact Urbig was disappointing during Saturday's draw, stopping just one of the three shots he faced during the draw. The goalkeeper has been a solid contributor in place of the injured Manuel Neuer, but it will of course be Neuer's net when he's deemed fit enough to play once more.

Bayern spurns chance to go 8 points clear in Bundesliga as Dortmund draws 'Klassiker' 2-2

Borussia Dortmund has prevented Bayern Munich from going eight points clear in the Bundesliga by fighting back for a 2-2 draw in “der Klassiker.”
APRIL 12
Concedes two goals Urbig registered two saves and allowed two goals in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to Inter Milan.
Impact Contrary to his previous Champions League appearance, Urbig was unimpressive Tuesday, logging the same amount of goals conceded and saves. Up next for Bayern is a rivalry game Saturday against Borussia Dortmund, and his matchup availability will depend on whether or not the former can and will use Manuel Neuer (calf).
APRIL 9 • ROTOWIRE
Gives up two goals in win Urbig registered two saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 3-2 win versus FC St. Pauli.
Impact Urbig continues to play as the starter due to Manuel Neuer's absence due to a calf injury, but the results haven't been all that encouraging. Through four appearances between the Bundesliga and the UCL, Urbig has given up six goals while keeping just one clean sheet and recording 10 saves. He's going to have a decent floor because he plays for Bayern, but his numbers haven't exactly been good.
APRIL 1 • ROTOWIRE
Starts after foot injury Urbig (foot) is in the starting XI for Saturday's match against St. Pauli.
Impact Urbig is back and starting in net after his foot injury as expected, with his position in the starting XI announced prior to the game. He has a solid chance of continuing in this role moving forward until regular starter Manuel Neuer returns from injury.
MARCH 29 • ROTOWIRE
Will start against St.Pauli Urbig (foot) is fully fit and will start in goal for Saturday's clash against St. Pauli, coach Vincent Kompany confirmed in the press conference.
Impact Urbig withdrew from the Germany U21 camp due to a foot injury but has trained normally since Monday and is expected to start in goal on Saturday after fully recovering from the issue.
MARCH 28 • ROTOWIRE
Trains Monday Urbig (foot) trained with the team Monday and appears to be an option for Saturday's match against St. Pauli, according to his club.
Impact Urbig is on the mend from his foot injury after withdrawing from his national team over the break, as he was back in training to start the week. This is good news for the club, as Manuel Neuer (calf) is to remain out for at least two more games. That said, Urbig will likely be given the nod Saturday if fit, appearing to be on pace at the moment.

MARCH 23
Withdraws from Germany U21 Urbig won't be able to feature with the Germany U21 team for the games against Slovakia U21 on March 21 and Spain U21 on March 25 due to a foot injury, the club announced.
Impact Urbig suffered a foot injury in training with the Germany U21 team and will miss both games this week. He has already returned to Munich to begin his recovery. This is a setback for the team as Manuel Neuer is also recovering from a calf injury, and it is uncertain if the captain will be fit to face St. Pauli on March 29. If both remain unavailable, Sven Ulreich could start in goal.
MARCH 19 • ROTOWIRE
Allows one against Berlin Urbig registered three saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Union Berlin.
Impact Urbig was back in net for a third consecutive match Saturday, continuing to see the start while Manuel Neuer (calf) is out injured. He had a decent day, allowing one goal while making three saves. remaining at one clean sheet in his three starts this season. He will likely drop back to the bench following the international break, with Neuer expected to be fit by then.

Impact Urbig recorded his first ever Champions League clean sheet Tuesday as Bayern Munich eased into the Champions League quarterfinals with a 2-0 win (5-0 aggregate) over Bayer Leverkusen. In three appearances (two starts) across all competitions in relief of Manuel Neuer (calf), the FC Koln-loanee has made five saves and three clearances while conceding three goals. Urbig's next challenge is likely to come Saturday when Bayern Munich travel to Union Berlin in Bundesliga play.
MARCH 13 • ROTOWIRE
Allows three in loss Urbig made two saves and conceded three goals during Saturday's 3-2 loss against Bochum.
Impact Urbig made his first career Bundesliga start filling in for an injured Manuel Neuer (calf) but the debut wasn't exactly a dream one as the goalkeeper saw the opposition beating him three times to get a come-from-behind win. The goalkeeper wasn't at fault for any of the goals, though, and, with Neuer probably out for the rest of the month, we will probably see the youngster in the net again for Tuesday's decisive UCL clash against Bayer Leverkusen.
