Whips in five crosses Beste had five crosses (one accurate) and one tackle in Wednesday's 3-0 defeat against Aston Villa.

Impact Beste had a decent match for the brutal outcome Freiburg faced Wednesday, as the attacker earned five crosses, the best on his team. However, he would go without a shot, a bit disappointing for one of their attackers. He ends the campaign in UEL play with only one goal, while adding three assists in 15 appearances (14 starts).

Beste finished the 2025/26 Bundesliga season with two goals and two assists in 28 appearances (20 starts). He's also been a regular in the UEFA Europa League, starting in all but one of his 14 appearances ahead of Wednesday's final against Aston Villa.

Avoids injury Beste (head) is on the bench for Sunday's match against Union Berlin.

Impact Beste appears to have not been injured when coming off the field Thursday and instead was a normal substitute, with the attacker back just three days late on the bench. However, he did start in the last two games, so this does force a bit of a change, a spot he should return to in most games moving forward.

Impact Beste was under the weather and appeared to briefly lose consciousness around the hour mark in Thursday's Europa League loss to Genk after taking a heavy blow to the head. The versatile midfielder will be evaluated over the coming days to determine the extent of the issue and whether he will need to enter concussion protocol. If that ends up being the case, it would be a tough blow for the Black Forest club since Beste is a locked-in starter in the front line, with Cyriaque Irie the main option to step in and take his spot.

Suspended one game Beste will serve a one-match ban due to an accumulation of five yellow cards in the Bundesliga.

Impact Beste picked up his fifth yellow card in Bundesliga play and will be forced to sit out Sunday's showdown against Frankfurt due to suspension. The versatile midfielder has been a fixture on the right wing for Freiburg all season, locking down a regular starting role and bringing steady production on that flank. His absence now forces a reshuffle in the starting XI, with Cyriaque Irie emerging as the leading candidate to step in and absorb those minutes.

Held to bench role Beste made 12 appearances and no starts during his return to the Bundesliga with Freiburg.

Impact Beste was brilliant with Heidenheim in 2023 before making a move to Portugal that failed and saw him sent back to Germany with Freiburg.
