GAME LOG

Playing with U23s Shackleton (undisclosed) is starting for the U23s in Friday's match.
Impact Shackleton is back from injury and getting some run with the youth squad after missing out with an injury the last month. He doesn't have much of a role with the senior team, but he could be back on the bench for the final few matches of the season.
APRIL 29, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Almost ready to return Shackleton (undisclosed) is almost ready to return to training, according to manager Jesse Marsch.
Impact Shackleton has missed the last two contests with an injury but has a chance to be available before the end of the month. He's more of a depth option and doesn't have much of a role, but depth has played a major part for Leeds this season.
APRIL 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Poised to return Wednesday Shackleton (Achilles) is fit and will be in contention versus Aston Villa on Wednesday.
Impact Shackleton has been sidelined since mid-December due to his Achilles issue. The defender may be eased back into action with an appearance off the bench before jumping into the starting XI but should be in the mix considering he has started seven of his 11 outings this year. Even when he does start, the defender shouldn't be expected to offer much in the way of fantasy value.
FEBRUARY 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Out until February Shackleton (Achilles) won't be an option until February, according to manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Impact Shackleton picked up the issue Dec. 14 and it looks like it'll keep him out a couple months. It's unknown the exact issue, but his absences only add to multiple regulars being out until March. When available, Shackleton has started at right-back and central midfield.
JANUARY 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Out with Achilles issue Shackleton will miss Saturday's match against Arsenal with an Achilles tendon problem, according to manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Impact It's yet another injury Leeds have to deal with coming out of a 7-0 loss. This injury will likely push Stuart Dallas to the back line unless Marcelo Bielsa opts to do something else, like move Robin Koch back into the XI in his first match back.
DECEMBER 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Comes off injured against Man City Shackleton was subbed out of Tuesday's defeat against Manchester City in the 38th minute after suffering an injury. He made two blocks and won one of one tackles in the match befor...
Impact It is unclear as of yet whether Shackleton will be forced to miss additional game time due to his potential injury. He was replaced at right back by Mateusz Klich on Wednesday.
DECEMBER 14, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Available against Brighton Shackleton (undisclosed) will be an option versus Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
Impact Prior to getting hurt, Shackleton featured in each of the club's previous five contests, in which he generated two crosses (zero accurate), 19 tackles (12 won) and six clearances. Given his limited offensive upside, Shackleton shouldn't be expected to offer much in the way of fantasy value even if he does retake his place on the pitch Saturday.
NOVEMBER 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Out against Spurs Shackleton (undisclosed) is not in Leeds' match day squad for Sunday's clash against Tottenham.
Impact Shackleton missed the draw against Leicester City before the international break with an undisclosed injury, and he will not be involved on Sunday either. Adam Forshaw lines up in midfield in his absence.
NOVEMBER 21, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Could be option after break Shackleton (undisclosed) is toward the end of recovery and could be an option Sunday against Tottenham, according to manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Impact Shackleton recovered from whatever his issue was over the break and he could again be an option to start Sunday. Prior to the issue, he had started five-straight matches in a couple different roles, so it'll be interesting to see how Leeds line up against Spurs.
NOVEMBER 19, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Late test against Leicester Shackleton (undisclosed) is considered a late test for Sunday's match against Leicester City, according to manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Impact There's no guarantee Shackleton will be ready Sunday, which means Mateusz Klich could return to the side or Cody Drameh could make the XI Sunday, which seems like a stretch. Shackleton has started the last five matches in Luke Ayling's absence and has provided minimal fantasy value.
NOVEMBER 5, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Comes off injured against Norwich Shackleton was subbed out of Sunday's victory against Norwich City in the 71st minute after suffering an apparent injury. He made a block and won three of five tackles in the match...
Impact With Luke Ayling (knee) out, Shackleton was replaced by Cody Drameh on Sunday, but it is unclear as of yet whether he will be forced to miss additional game time due to his potential injury.
OCTOBER 31, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Starts at right-back Shackleton had one chance created and one crosses at right-back in the 2-1 loss against West Ham.
Impact Shackleton received his first league start of the season in the loss, mainly out of necessity. With Luke Ayling expected to miss more time, Shackleton could remain in the starting XI, though it's not guaranteed he'll be at right-back again.
SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Available for opener Shackleton (head) is "well and available" for Saturday's opener against Manchester United, according to manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Impact Shackleton was fortunate to not suffer a concussion in last week's friendly and he's good to go for the start of the season. That doesn't mean a ton, though, as he's failed to play more than 500 minutes each of the last two seasons.
AUGUST 12, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Suffers head injury in friendly Shackleton was forced out of last week's friendly against Ajax after a blow to the head, reports Leeds Live.
Impact Leeds haven't released any information on a possible concussion, unsurprisingly, and his status for Saturday's opener against Man United is in question. That being the case, he made just 13 league appearances last season and isn't expected to fight for starts.
AUGUST 11, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Remains bench option Shackleton remained a bench option for the majority of the season, totaling three starts from 13 appearances.
Impact Shackleton made a couple starts for Kalvin Phillips in the midfield, but when given the opportunity, he didn't find a ton of success. At this point, it's hard to see his role changing in the team, having failed to surpass 500 minutes played the last two seasons with Leeds.
