Set to leave Palace in summer McArthur will leave Crystal Palace this summer following the end of his contract.
Impact It's a tough season to say goodbye after for McArthur, who has managed just three appearances because of nagging injuries that he can't seem to shake. He's been in the squad the last couple games and if fit, there's a chance he could start in Sunday's finale, as it'd be a nice send-off from his nine-year career at the club, especially at home.

On bench against Bournemouth McArthur (undisclosed) is in Palace's match day squad for Saturday's clash against AFC Bournemouth.
Impact McArthur is back in the squad Saturday after missing his side's last two games with an injury. He's only been able to feature two times off the bench in the Premier League this season.
MAY 13, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Hopeful to return Saturday McArthur (undisclosed) is hopeful to return to the squad Saturday against Bournemouth, according to manager Roy Hodgson.
Impact McArthur can't seem to find his health, as he took forever to return from an early groin injury and hasn't been able to stay in the squad since. Unfortunately for him, his role in the side disappeared this season and it's a wonder if he'll move elsewhere in the summer. Having been a regular at Palace since the 2014/15 season, his time in the Premier League is likely over, though he may get a spot start out of respect in one of the final games, assuming he's healthy.

Injury woes continue McArthur (undisclosed) won't be an option for Saturday's match against Tottenham.
Impact McArthur has failed to get any playing time with the club this season, appearing in just 19 minutes all year. He returned from his long-term groin injury in February, but since has not been able to be much of an option for the team. This follows a 2021-22 campaign where the midfielder had made 15 starts in 21 appearances, recording three assists, 33 tackles (23 won) and 30 interceptions.
MAY 4, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
On bench against Leicester McArthur is fit and in the match day squad to face Leicester City on Saturday.
Impact McArthur returns from an undisclosed injury to take up a role on the bench Saturday. The midfielder has played just nine minutes on the season.
APRIL 1, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Out against Brighton McArthur (undisclosed) will not be available for Wednesday's clash against Brighton & Hove Albion, confirmed manager Patrick Vieira, per BBC Sports.
Impact McArthur has only played in nine minutes this season, missing most of the campaign with a groin injury. It is unclear if he had reaggravated his groin or if it is a new injury. The midfielder will remain a bench option once healthy after an injury prone year.
MARCH 14, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Will be in squad Saturday McArthur (groin) will be in the squad for Saturday's match against Brighton, according to manager Patrick Vieira.
Impact This update has been a long time coming, as McArthur has yet to appear this season because of injury. It was a minor injury turned into something more and his return gives Palace another option in the midfield. Once fit, he could find a spot in the starting XI, depending on what Vieira wants to change and how Palace are performing, which hasn't been great of late.

Won't play Saturday McArthur (groin) has begun training with the squad but won't be fit in time to face Manchester United on Saturday. Manager Patrick Vieira told reporters, "[Nathan Ferguson and Jame...
Impact McArthur has yet to get onto the pitch this season but appears to be trending in the right direction. Given his long stint on the sidelines, McArthur probably shouldn't be expected to immediately jump back into the starting XI and may even be hard-pressed to feature regardless.
FEBRUARY 3, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to training McArthur has returned to training ahead of Crystal Palace's next Premier League match against Manchester United.
Impact McArthur has trained for the first time in months as he continues to recover from a groin injury. The midfielder has yet to play this season, but could be available for his season debut as soon as next weekend.
JANUARY 28, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Still out through January McArthur (groin) will not be an option versus Newcastle United on Saturday after manager Patrick Vieira told reporters, "Nathan [Ferguson] started training with the team. For Macca...
Impact Based on the timeline offered by the manager, McArthur could be ready to return for the team's next Premier League contest against Manchester United on Feb. 4, though that hasn't been officially confirmed. Whenever the midfielder does get onto the pitch, it will mark his first appearance this season, having last played May 22 versus Manchester United.

Impact McArthur has yet to feature this season and now his participation when the Premier League resumes at the end of December could be put into question. He recorded three assists in 21 appearances (15 starts) during the 2021/22 campaign while also dealing with a few injuries.
DECEMBER 5, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Set to begin pitch work McArthur (groin) is expected to step up his recovery with on-pitch activities. Manager Patrick Vieira told reporters, "We did not put any timeline on [McArthur's] injuries. He is p...
Impact McArthur is certainly taking a step in the right direction but should still be considered out indefinitely. At this point, it seems unlikely the midfielder will be back before the World Cup break though he hasn't been officially ruled yet. Even once cleared to play, McArthur may not immediately jump back into the starting XI given his extended layoff but should be in contention once up to full match fitness.
OCTOBER 21, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Yet to resume first-team training McArthur (groin) is still not training with the squad ahead of Sunday's matchup with Leeds United.
Impact McArthur's absence from the training pitch likely indicated he is still weeks away from getting back onto the pitch. Whenever the midfielder is cleared to play, he figures to get some minutes off the bench before being in contention for the starting XI considering he has yet to feature for the club this season.
OCTOBER 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Still out following break McArthur (groin) remains out following the international break, according to manager Patrick Vieira.
Impact There's been minimal information on this injury for McArthur, which makes it more frustrating. He's been out since July with the injury and Vieira hasn't said much about it. When healthy, McArthur competes for a starting spot in the midfield, something Jeffrey Schlupp has taken from him to open the season.
SEPTEMBER 30, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
To miss start of season McArthur is expected to miss the start of the season due to a groin injury suffered in preseason, according to Mat Woosnam of The Athletic.
Impact McArthur's absence is an important one as he's often a guarantee on the team sheet when fit. That hasn't been as simple a task of late after he missed three months last season due to a hamstring injury. In his absence, look to Cheick Doucoure to take on a bigger role in his first season with the Eagles.

Signs new deal McArthur is staying at Crystal Palace another season after signing a one-year deal.
Impact McArthur is still a valuable player to Palace's midfield after getting 15 starts this past season despite being injured for more than three months in the middle of the campaign. He may not see as much time as a few years ago, but he'll still be used and as of this contract, it's still unknown who will be in Palace's midfield as Conor Gallagher was on loan last season.
JUNE 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Gets minutes in finale McArthur (undisclosed) played seven minutes in Sunday's finale against Manchester United.
Impact McArthur missed three matches prior to the finale, but he made it back Sunday and got some minutes. His future is a bit uncertain at the club because while he started the first 11 matches of the season, he didn't have the same role upon return from injury and there's a decent chance he won't have a consistent spot in the starting XI next season.
MAY 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Still sidelined Sunday McArthur will miss his second straight contest due to his undisclosed injury when Palace faces Aston Villa on Sunday, BBC reports.
Impact McArthur came off the bench in three of his last five contests in which he recorded one assist, four crosses (two accurate) and one corner. Even once cleared to play, the midfielder is far from a lock to reclaim his place in the starting XI, making him a mid-range fantasy target at best.
MAY 13, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Third assist of season McArthur had an assist while taking one shot (on goal) and creating two chances during Saturday's 2-1 win over Southampton.
Impact McArthur set up Wilfried Zaha in the 92nd minute assisting the game winning goal for Palace. The assist was the third of the season for the midfielder while his two chances created were the second most on the team in the win.
APRIL 30, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Assists as substitute McArthur had an assist with his lone chance created during Wednesday's 4-1 win over Watford.
Impact McArthur entered the match in the 80th minute and set up Wilfried Zaha for Palace's final goal in the 90th. The assist was the second of the season for the midfielder as he made the most of his limited time on the pitch.
FEBRUARY 24, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Working up full fitness McArthur played 24 minutes off the bench in the draw against Brentford and is "getting physically much better," according to manager Patrick Vieira.
Impact McArthur could be in line to start Saturday given the absence of Conor Gallagher, though he'll have to fight Cheikhou Kouyate for that role. McArthur was a regular to open the season, but that was before Will Hughes took up a spot in the midfield. Once Gallagher returns, Palace will have some decisions to make, with Jeffrey Schlupp also in the mix.
FEBRUARY 18, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Available off bench McArthur (hamstring) was named to the match-day squad against Norwich City on Wednesday.
Impact McArthur is back in the squad for the first time since Nov. 6 against Wolverhampton, a stretch of 11 matches on the shelf due to his hamstring problem. Barring any setbacks, the midfielder should challenge for the starting XI once back up to match fitness, perhaps as early as Saturday's clash with Brentford.
FEBRUARY 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Training during break McArthur (hamstring) has trained during the international break and is expected to be available for next week's league match.
Impact McArthur hasn't played since Nov. 6 because of injury, but unfortunately for him, he may not get his role in the team back. He started the first 11 matches of the season, producing one shot on goal and one assist, but in his absence, Will Hughes has taken a firm role in the XI, while Jeffrey Schlupp has also looked like a viable starter.
