Impact Butland takes the spot of Martin Dubravka as the backup for David de Gea. In the second half of the season, it's a role that probably won't lead to many starts unless De Gea gets injured. Once a regular for Stoke City, Butland failed to unseat Vicente Guaita since joining Palace a couple years ago, compiling just nine starts the last three seasons.
