Jonas Fohrenbach - Falls out of favor Fohrenbach didn't start in the final 10 matches of the Bundesliga.
Impact Fohrenbach was the starting option at left-back to open the season, starting almost every single match across the first six months of the season before falling out of favor. Once he fell out of favor though, he hardly saw the pitch as he made just five bench appearances in the final three months. While his replacement, Franz Kratzig, has left the club, Heidenheim are reportedly hoping to sign a new left-back to replace Fohrenbach.
MAY 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Patrick Mainka - Iron man once more Mainka played every single minute in the Bundesliga for the second season in a row.
Impact Mainka isn't one to light up the stat sheet, but he is an imperious option in the backline, and one that is as reliable as they come. Mainka has played every single minute for Heidenheim in the last two Bundesliga campaigns, while keeping a combined 15 clean sheets. He will remain the most consistent single player in the team going forward.
MAY 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Marnon Busch - First Bundesliga assist Busch provided one assists in 23 appearances (15 starts) in the Bundesliga.
Impact Busch opened the season as a backup option, but finished the season in a significant role, playing both as a wing-back and midfielder. He also occasionally slotted in as a center-back. While he didn't particularly excel in any given role his versatility kept Busch in the starting XI. Barring a surprise he's likely to remain in a similar depth role next season.
MAY 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Mathias Honsak - Goalscoring hampered by injuries Honsak made 22 appearances (12 starts) in the Bundesliga while being hampered by injuries.
Impact Honsak didn't have a single major injury, but he did have a plethora of small injuries that plagued him. When he was fit he often rotated among all three of Heidenheim's attacking options. With all three picking up occasional injuries it's likely that all three will see minutes next season, with rotation likely to be frequent.
MAY 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Tim Siersleben - Plays into role Siersleben made 16 appearances (14 starts) in his second season with Heidenheim.
Impact Siersleben barely played to open the season as Heidenheim switched to a four at the back formation. The defender then played quite consistently in the back half of the campaign with a back-three formation. It's unclear what the formation looks like for Siersleben next season, keeping him in doubt for a consistent role. Even if Heidenheim play a back-three it's possible a new signing could replace him.
MAY 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Niklas Dorsch - Hampered by injuries Dorsch was hampered by injuries limiting him to 22 appearances (19 starts) in the Bundesliga.
Impact Dorsch suffered three different injuries, but when he was fit he was a consistent starting option, including to close out the campaign. For the first time since his first season in Augsburg, Dorsch seems to be an important starting option. His upside remains limited but he should take on a significant role if he can stay fit.
MAY 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Jan Schoppner - Excels once more Schoppner scored four goals and added three assists in the Bundesliga.
Impact Schoppner was excellent in Heidenheim's first season in the Bundesliga, in his second he was a crucial part of the team. He added seven goal contributions, and played 33 appearances while creating 25 chances. Schoppner is one of the few most important pieces of the starting XI when fit, and should be a consistent option next season.
MAY 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Adrian Beck - Role grows Beck made 32 appearances (18 starts), scoring four times and assisting once in the Bundesliga.
Impact Beck's role has continued to develop in the Bundesliga. The midfielder took on a large role to close out the campaign and played a big role in the back half of the season. He earned the manager's trust and should be in for a large role next season especially with the departure of Paul Wanner back to Munich.
MAY 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Kevin Muller - Excellent again Muller stopped 106 shots and allowed 64 goals while keeping seven clean sheets.
Impact Muller's numbers in his second Bundesliga campaign don't jump off the page, but with the amount of top-tier chances Heidenheim allowed it was another solid season. Muller is the unquestioned top choice with Heidenheim securing a spot in the Bundesliga in stoppage time of the playoff.
MAY 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Luca Kerber - Largely bench option Kerber scored twice in 23 appearances (seven starts) in his first season in the Bundesliga.
Impact Kerber was brought in to Heidenheim as a depth option and he did well in that role for the most part. He was inefficient in his minutes and struggled for impact. The midfielder spent the back half of the season on the bench, where he went unused occasionally. His output on the pitch was limited, though he could compete for a larger role with some loan departures.
MAY 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Sirlord Conteh - Limited off bench Conteh scored once and assisted once in 29 appearances (four starts) in the Bundesliga.
Impact Conteh struggled for impact with Heidenheim. He was originally intended to compete for starting minutes, but he was frequently a passenger during his limited chances on the pitch. With Paul Wanner's loan spell ending there could be more chances in the attack, but it would take injuries throughout the club to bring Conteh into a big role.

Marvin Pieringer - Forced off injured Pieringer was forced off due to an apparent ankle injury in Monday's 2-1 victory over Elversberg in the second leg of the Bundesliga qualification playoffs.
Impact Pieringer suffered a knock on his ankle very early in the game and continued playing for 15 minutes before asking to be substituted in the 23rd minute since the pain was too strong. He will likely be assessed in the coming days to determine the extent of his injury and to start recovering ahead of the pre-season. Pieringer has played 31 games this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists for Heidenheim.

Luca Kerber - Scores late consolation as sub Kerber scored one goal to go with two shots (two on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 4-1 defeat versus Werder Bremen.
Impact Kerber entered the game for the second half and he scored his second goal of the season to bring the game to 3-1 before his team went on to concede again and lose 4-1. Across 23 appearances, he has only played 775 minutes, with only seven starts. This was only the second time this season he has attempted two or more shots, and only the second time he has had two shots on target.
MAY 17, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Kevin Muller - Two saves in heavy defeat Muller recorded two saves and allowed four goals in Saturday's 4-1 defeat versus Werder Bremen.
Impact Muller finished the season with a 4-1 defeat in which he was only able to make two saves. He returned having missed the previous game due to a head injury and conceded four or more goals for the sixth time this season. In total, he has kept seven clean sheets this season.
MAY 17, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Kevin Muller - Returns to starting spot Muller (concussion) is in the starting XI for Saturday's match against Bremen.
Impact Muller was expected to return Saturday, and that has come to fruition, with the goalie finding a spot in the starting XI immediately. He will look to finish out the season strong in their final match of the campaign, as he has already had a better season than the last and has two clean sheets in his past six outings.
MAY 17, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Sirlord Conteh - Fit for bench Conteh (knee) is on the bench for Saturday's match against Bremen.
Impact Conteh is not going to miss the season finale Saturday, with the forward fit enough to earn a spot on the bench to face Bremen. He has only started in four of his 29 appearances this season while seeing two goal contributions, so he will be lucky to see minutes, likely a late cameo if he does make an appearance.
MAY 17, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Sirlord Conteh - Likely against Bremen Conteh (knee) is likely to return for Saturday's final game of the season against Bremen, as he was not listed in his club's injury report.
Impact Conteh is likely to be part of the squad for Saturday's game after recovering from the knee injury that kept him out of the last contest. That said, he has recently been used only as a bench option and is expected to return to that role against Bremen.
MAY 16, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Kevin Muller - Should return Saturday Muller (concussion) should be back for Saturday's final game of the season against Bremen after training normally this week and not being listed in the injury report by his club.
Impact Muller has been training normally this week following the concussion in the game against Bochum that sidelined him in the last contest. He will likely return directly to the starting XI on Saturday and keep the goal, as he is the undisputed starting goalie when fit.
MAY 16, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Jan Schoppner - Finishing season strong Schoppner scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Saturday's 3-0 win versus Union Berlin.
Impact Schoppner is putting in some of his best performances of the season for Heidenheim at a crucial point, and Saturday was no exception. In 89 minutes played against Union Berlin, the defensive midfielder scored one goal from his only shot of the game, made nine defensive actions, and won the most duels in the match with nine. Schoppner now has two goal contributions in his last three starts for Heidenheim.
MAY 12, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Marvin Pieringer - Good creative display Pieringer assisted twice to go with one shot (zero on goal) and two chances created in Saturday's 3-0 win against Union Berlin.
Impact Pieringer put in a solid all-around shift in attack against Union Berlin. In 83 minutes played, the striker tallied two assists, created two chances, won six of his 12 duels, and made four passes into the final third. The assists were Pieringer's tenth and 11th goal contributions of the Bundesliga campaign, and his first since March. He will aim to end the season on a high against Werder Bremen this Saturday.
MAY 12, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Adrian Beck - Nets crucial brace Beck scored two goals to go with four shots (two on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 3-0 win against Union Berlin.
Impact Beck scored two of the most important goals of the season for Heidenheim on Saturday against Union Berlin. In 80 minutes played, the 27 year old scored two goals from four shots (two on target, two off), created one chance, and completed two of his four dribbles. The goals were the first Beck had scored since January 11 (also against Union Berlin), and they have helped significantly improve Heidenheim's chances of staying in the Bundesliga next season. He will hope to finish the season strong this Saturday against Werder Bremen.
MAY 12, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Frank Feller - Relaxing debut Feller made one save and allowed zero goals in Saturday's 3-0 win over Union Berlin.
Impact Feller had a stress-free day in goal as Heidenheim cruised to a victory over Union Berlin. It was the 21 year old's first ever Bundesliga start. He only had to make one save, but it did come from inside his own box. He also made two throws, three recoveries, and kept a clean sheet. The clean sheet was also his first ever for Heidenheim. The regular keeper, Kevin Muller, is reportedly feeling much better after suffering a concussion against Bochum on May 3rd, so it is unknown whether Feller will get the starting nod for Heidenheim's last match of the season against Werder Bremen on Saturday.
