Impact Elliott has been dealing with an illness and has been unable to train the past two days, leading the midfielder to the sidelines. Luckily for the club, this is a minor loss, as he last appeared Oct. 2 and has only appeared in five games all season. A return is likely to only take a week, probably returning to a bench role next outing.

Impact Elliott hasn't played much football since his last appearance came in early October against Feyenoord in the Europa League. The attacking midfielder hasn't convinced coach Unai Emery, who left him out of the squad for the clash against Manchester City on Sunday. Elliott won't return in the next fixture either, as he is loan-locked by his parent club Liverpool. His next chance to feature in the Premier League will be on Nov. 9 against Bournemouth.

Impact Elliott struggled to really build on a solid 2023/24, he was limited by injuries and when fit, he didn't get in the team often. In fact, two of his goal contributions came in the penultimate match of the campaign. His Champions League return (three goals in five appearances) was a bit better but still nothing incredible. If the rumored move for Florian Wirtz comes to fruition, Elliott would likely be sold, or buried at the bottom of the depth chart.
