Picked up by New York City Ranjitsingh has signed with New York City FC out of free agency, according to his new club.
Impact Ranjisingh has found his new club, remaining in the MLS to serve with NYCFC after three seasons with Toronto. He mainly served as a backup while with Toronto, only seeing four appearances in his three seasons with the club. He is unlikely to see much more than a similar role throughout his two-year contract with his new club.
JANUARY 14 • ROTOWIRE
Signs new contract Ranjitsingh has signed a new contract with Toronto FC until the end of the 2024 MLS season. The deal also includes an option for 2025.
Impact Ranjitsingh is not expected to see meaningful minutes this season, but he should add decent depth between the posts. The 30-year-old veteran will compete with Luka Gavran for the backup role behind Sean Johnson.
FEBRUARY 22, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Back with Toronto Ranjitsingh is back with Toronto for 2024, according to manager John Herdman.
Impact Ranjitsingh is returning to Toronto after his contract option was declined during the offseason. The goalkeeper should be a depth option at best, as he was generally left on the sideline throughout 2023.
JANUARY 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Not ready to return Ranjitsingh (knee) is out for Saturday's clash with Vancouver, according to the Toronto injury report.
Impact Ranjitsingh is back in training but wasn't deemed fit to get back on the pitch Saturday. With Sean Johnson (hand) also out Tomas Romero will continue in the starting XI against Vancouver.
SEPTEMBER 14, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Back in team training Ranjitsingh (knee) is back in team training with the team following knee surgery, reports John Molinaro of TFC Republic.
Impact Ranjitsingh underwent minor surgery on his knee and is now back in training with the team. With Sean Johnson (hand) still out, he will continue to be used as a backup for Tomas Romero once he returns,
SEPTEMBER 12, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Undergoes knee surgery Ranjitsingh underwent knee surgery and is set to miss four to six weeks, John Molinaro of TFC Republic reports.
Impact Toronto's third-string goalkeeper had a meniscus cleanup, and considering the lengthy absence, there's a chance he won't see the field again this season -- to do so, both Sean Johnson (hand) and Tomas Romero would have to be unavailable. Based on the timeline provided, the earliest Ranjitsingh could be available for selection would be against Cincinnati on Sep. 30.
AUGUST 24, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Not playing Sunday Ranjitsingh (lower body) is out against Montreal on Sunday, John Molinaro of TFC Republic reports.
Impact Ranjitsingh's absence comes at the worst possible time for Toronto, as Sean Johnson (hand) is also out, so Tomas Romero will be starting, while there's a lot of uncertainty regarding who will operate as the backup. Ranjitsingh's next chance to feature will come against Columbus on Aug. 26.
AUGUST 18, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Picks up lower body issue Ranjitsingh (lower body) is listed as questionable for Saturday's trip to Chicago, according to the Toronto injury report.
Impact Ranjitsingh is questionable Saturday, as he deals with a lower body issue. The goalkeeper went unused last time out and could be left on the bench behind Tomas Romero even if he is able to pass the late fitness tests.
JULY 13, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Makes five saves in 4-0 defeat Ranjitsingh recorded five saves and allowed four goals in Tuesday's 4-0 defeat to Orlando City SC.
Impact Ranjitsingh grabbed his fourth straight start now with Sean Johnson still missing. The former however has allowed 10 goals already for no clean sheets in that span with Toronto finding themselves in a horrific form and just 14 saves haven't compensated much in fantasy formats.
JULY 4, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Concedes goal to RSL Ranjitsingh made five saves but conceded a goal in Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Real Salt Lake.
Impact Ranjitsingh almost kept his first ever MLS clean sheet on Saturday, but Anderson Julio was able to get past him on a goalmouth scramble in the 92nd minute to win the match. Ranjitsingh will hope to bounce back Tuesday against Orlando City, which have scored 28 goals in 20 matches this season.
JULY 2, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Concedes twice in loss Ranjitsingh conceded twice without making a save in Saturday's 2-1 loss to New England Revolution.
Impact Ranjitsingh has conceded five goals in two games with Sean Johnson and Tomas Romero both away on international duty. He is guaranteed to start Saturday's match against Real Salt Lake and could see further opportunities should USA and El Salvador progress to the knockout stages of the Gold Cup.
JUNE 26, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Concedes three in loss Ranjitsingh had four saves and allowed three goals in Wednesday's 3-0 defeat against FC Cincinnati.
Impact Ranjitsingh made his season debut Wednesday with both Sean Johnson and Tomas Romero out on international duty for the next five matches. It was not a great debut, as he conceded three goals and made four saves. He faces another very difficult matchup Saturday at New England, a side which has scored 31 goals in 18 league matches this season.
JUNE 21, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Set for season debut Wednesday Ranjitsingh is expected to start in goal against FC Cincinnati on Wednesday, Toronto manager Bob Bradley told TFC Republic's John Molinaro.
Impact Ranjitsingh is Toronto's third-string keeper and has only made one MLS match day squad this season, but he's in line to make his campaign debut for the senior team this week while Sean Johnson and Tomas Romero are out on international duty with the U.S. and El Salvador, respectively.
JUNE 19, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Joins Toronto Ranjitsingh has signed a two-year contract with Toronto FC with the option to extend for an additional year, the club announced Friday.
Impact Ranjitsingh spent time with three different clubs in 2021, but he didn't feature for any of them during the season. The 28-year-old keeper has five MLS games under his belt, and he's now moving to Toronto as a backup to Alex Bono.
