NOVEMBER 26, 2023 • YOUTUBE
Returns off bench Lo Celso played eight minutes off the bench during Monday's 2-0 win over Fulham.
Impact Lo Celso returned from injury and made the bench for the second match in a row. The midfielder has fallen out of favor even when fit, opening the season as an unused substitute in two of the first three matches before the injury. Now that he is fit once more Lo Celso may begin looking for a loan or permanent move elsewhere.

Working up fitness Lo Celso continued working up his fitness over the international break after returning from his quad injury against Luton Town.
Impact Lo Celso doesn't have a significant role in the team, but that could eventually change if more injuries come about the Tottenham squad. Lo Celso managed 16 minutes through the first three matches of the season and if that trend continues while he's healthy, there's a chance he'll look to be loaned away again in the January window.
OCTOBER 17, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Available versus Luton Lo Celso (quad) is a substitute option for Saturday's match against Luton.
Impact Lo Celso is fit after missing the last four games with a groin issue and will provide some depth in the midfield. He appeared just once off the bench before the injury, tallying one chance in 16 minutes.
OCTOBER 7, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Back in training Lo Celso (quadriceps) could be an option for Saturday's trip to Luton, according to manager Ange Postecoglou. "But Bryan and Gio have trained this week, which is good, so there's...
Impact Lo Celso wasn't expected to return before the international break but surprisingly has a chance to play against Luton. It would be surprising for the forward to be risked during a favorable clash against the Premier League minnows but apparently some sort of appearance could be on the cards.
OCTOBER 6, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Continues rehab Lo Celso (quadriceps) was seen on the grass doing light jogging as part of his rehab assignment.
Impact Lo Celso is still not expected to return until after the international break at minimum as he continues to rehab from his quad injury. He's played in just 16 minutes since his transfer from Villarreal, missing the last four matches while being an unused substitute his first two games.
OCTOBER 4, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Remains out Lo Celso (quadriceps) is out for Saturday's clash with Sheffield United, according to manager Ange Postecoglu. "He had a session with us yesterday, but we won't rush him back. It w...
Impact Lo Celso remains out as he continues to recover from the muscular injury. With Europeans competitions getting underway mid-week it's clear Lo Celso could play a consistent role when fit, likely as rotation across the midfield and attack.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Out against Burnley Lo Celso suffered a quad strain in Tuesday's Cup match and will miss Saturday's trip to Burnley, confirmed manager Ange Postecoglou.
Impact Lo Celso managed just 16 league minutes in the first three matches, so his absence won't change too many things for the squad. James Maddison has been playing the attacking midfield role and Lo Celso only seems to be a backup this season and play there when needed. Of course, being healthy is the first step to getting more minutes.
SEPTEMBER 1, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Takes three shots off bench Lo Celso subbed into the season finale against Atletico Madrid in the 66th minute, taking three shots (one on target) and creating two chances in the 2-2 draw.
Impact Lo Celso had an up-and-down campaign as he missed all of November-February with a muscular injury that prevented him from playing in Argentina's 2022 World Cup triumph. Lo Celso got a run in Villarreal's XI prior to his injury in the fall and once again in April, and he finishes the season with two goals and three assists in 22 La Liga appearances (14 starts) overall. The 27-year-old is set to return from his loan to Tottenham this summer, but he seems to fare much better in Spain than he does in England.
JUNE 16, 2023 • ROTOWIRE

Impact Lo Celso came off the bench for the final 30 minutes Sunday and got on the scoresheet with his second La Liga goal. The attacking midfielder has only made one start in his last four appearances as he has fallen out of the starting XI. The goal could see him handed his starting role back for a Sunday finale against Atleti.
MAY 30, 2023 • ROTOWIRE

Set for minutes Lo Celso (strain) will be available for Saturday's match against Almeria, "They [Lo Celso] will be in the squad and will be available to play a few minutes" said manager Quique Set...
Impact Lo Celso has been out since Nov 6 with a strain, but has been training with the club and is ready to go Saturday. He figured to make a slow return to the starting XI, having him start from the bench at minimum for the next few games. Once healthy, Lo Celso should find himself as a starting midfielder for Villarreal.
MARCH 3, 2023 • ROTOWIRE

Impact Lo Celso has been out since October with a muscular injury, and while he returned to training last week with Villarreal, he's not quite fit enough to be involved in Monday's match.

Impact Lo Celso has been out of action since Oct. 30 versus Athletic when he was forced off after just 25 minutes of action. Injuries have plagued the forward this season but he has still managed to register one goal on 13 shots (three on target), five crosses (zero accurate) and seven corners in eight matches.

Will miss Valencia clash Lo Celso is not in the match day squad to face Valencia on Saturday.
Impact Lo Celso misses out on the match after being a doubt with a muscle strain. The midfielder's next opportunity comes a week from Saturday against Real Madrid.
DECEMBER 31, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Doubtful Saturday Lo Celso (strain) is a doubt for Saturday's clash with Valencia, according to manager Quique Setien.
Impact Lo Celso is still recovering from a nagging muscular injury and is unlikely to play Saturday. The manager didn't entirely rule out Lo Celso but with this sort of injury an overnight miracle is unlikely to say the least. Lo Celso's time frame to return is uncertain, though he will likely remain a doubt for Saturday's clash with Real Madrid.

Now unlikely to play in World Cup Lo Celso is expected to miss the World Cup as he needs an operation on a muscular injury, according to Gaston Edul of TyC sports.
Impact Lo Celso still awaits official word from his club, but that's not likely to come until after Wednesday's match at Espanyol. However, most reports point that he won't be able to travel to Qatar and until then Alex Baena will help to bolster the creative area of the attack. For the national side, there's plenty of depth in the attack but it could take a little time to determine who might fill Lo Celso's role in the lineup.
