Impact Garrido hasn't been a regular option since 2020, and even then he only racked up seven starts in 23 appearances. As a result, retiring to preserve his health could be a prudent decision.

Out four months Garrido is expected to miss the next four months after undergoing surgery for chronic tendinosis on his knee.

Impact Garrido could easily be out until 2022 after a recurring injury became worse ahead of the new season. He only made seven starts from 23 appearances in the most recent campaign and may not have started too frequently, even as club captain.
