GAME LOG

Still in bench role Sierralta (calf) is back from injury but hasn't featured in the last two matches.
Impact Sierralta hasn't seen the pitch since January and has just five starts this season. He expected bigger things after getting 24 starts last campaign, but he never found a comfortable role under three managers this season and he'll hope to at least get time in the Championship.
MAY 20, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Ruled out Saturday Sierralta will not be available against Brentford after sustaining a calf injury.
Impact Sierralta hasn't made an appearance for the club since Jan. 1 against Tottenham, so his absence due to his calf problem is unlikely to be noticed by fans or fantasy players. Even once back in the squad, the defender should be considered a relative non-factor in fantasy contests the rest of the way.

Starting against West Ham Sierralta (hamstring) is in the starting XI for Tuesday's match against West Ham.
Impact Sierralta makes an immediate return to the XI Tuesday, likely because he's been training for more than a week. He last appeared in October because of nagging hamstring injuries and figures to compete for starts at center-back as long as he can stay healthy.
DECEMBER 28, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Available once again Sierralta (hamstring) is available for Tuesday's clash with West Ham, Watford announced Monday.
Impact Sierralta is available once more after finishing his recovery from a hamstring injury. He's been in full training for a little over two weeks and is set for a full return to the team. That said he only figures to be a depth option for situations such as Tuesday's clash with multiple players dealing with injury and COVID.
DECEMBER 27, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Back in full training Sierralta (hamstring) has been training fully and will be assessed ahead of Wednesday's match against Burnley.
Impact Sierralta has been out for a couple months, so it's unlikely he'll be pushed into the starting XI in his first match back. Once healthy, he should contend for starts, but he may not become a regular starter before the year is over.
DECEMBER 14, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hopeful to train full next week Sierralta (hamstring) is building up his fitness and hopes to train fully next week.
Impact Sierralta will probably miss the team's next two matches and then have a chance to return for the Dec. 18 contest if all goes well. Once healthy, he'll need to get back his fitness and win over Claudio Ranieri, having yet to be healthy under the new manager.
DECEMBER 9, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Working alone on pitch Sierralta was pictured working alone on the pitch in his return from a hamstring injury.
Impact Sierralta hasn't played for Watford since early October, mainly because of an ongoing hamstring injury. If all goes well, he could be ready to train in a week or two and able to be an option before things get busier over the holidays. Still, he's yet to play under Claudio Ranieri, so it's unclear what kind of role he'll have.
DECEMBER 8, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Suffers hamstring recurrence Sierralta played in both of Chile's matches over the break, but he suffered a recurrence of his hamstring injury and will be out an unknown amount of time.
Impact Sierralta went into the international break recently returned from injury, but it looks like he pushed it too hard and now will miss more time. He hasn't played for Watford since the Oct. 2 contest when he suffered the original injury and now will miss at least one more week.
NOVEMBER 18, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Gets minutes over break Sierralta took part in both of Chile's matches over the break, starting Tuesday's loss against Ecuador.
Impact It appears Sierralta is completely removed from his hamstring injury and should be an option to start going forward. He was on the bench before the break, but this is the first time he'll be healthy under new manager Claudio Ranieri, so he has a lot of proving to do.
NOVEMBER 17, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Could be option Sunday Sierralta (hamstring) has trained this week and could be an option for Sunday's trip to Arsenal.
Impact Sierralta has been out since the last international break, but it looks like he's edging closer to return. It's unknown what his role will be under Claudio Ranieri, as he's yet to be healthy with the new manager, but he'll undoubtedly be in line for minutes on the back line.
NOVEMBER 5, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Not ready to play Sierralta (hamstring) will miss Saturday's clash with Southampton despite his return to training.
Impact Sierralta will miss his third straight contest and has cracked the match-day squad just once in the club's last five matches. Once cleared to play, the defender should be in contention for a spot in the starting XI but is far from a lock to start. Even if he is on the pitch, Sierralta shouldn't be expected to offer more than low-end fantasy value given his lack of offensive upside.
OCTOBER 28, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Aiming to train next week Sierralta (hamstring) has been running outside and hopes to return to full training at the end of next week.
Impact There was a similar update on Sierralta a week ago, so it doesn't look like he's made a ton of progress. At this point, the center-back is probably two weeks away from a full return, meaning he won't return before the end of the month.
OCTOBER 21, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hopeful to train next week Sierralta (hamstring) is hopeful to return to light training next week.
Impact Sierralta will still miss the team's next two matches unless he recovers quicker than expected, which is rarely the case with a hamstring injury. The center-back has started three of seven matches this season, though a new manager could be favorable for him.
OCTOBER 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Expected out three weeks Sierralta is expected to miss about three more weeks after suffering a hamstring injury last weekend.
Impact This isn't too surprising for Sierralta, who was dropped from the Chile national team earlier in the week. The center-back has had a weird first two months, mainly because he's either started or completely missed the squad. Once ready to return, he'll have to win a job under new manager Claudio Ranieri.
OCTOBER 7, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hamstring injury confirmed Sierralta will not play with Chile over the international break after his hamstring injury was confirmed by the national team.
Impact Sierralta could miss a couple matches with this injury unless it's only a tweak. A regular hamstring injury usually means about a month on the sideline. That being the case, Craig Cathcart will likely start if healthy, but Christian Kabasele is also an option to feature again.
OCTOBER 5, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Leaves injured Saturday Sierralta was forced off in the second half of Saturday's match against Leeds because of injury.
Impact Sierralta was getting the start for the injury Craig Cathcart and then he went down in the second half Saturday. Christian Kabasele came on Saturday and could be asked to start in two weeks if neither of the injured center-backs is healthy enough to start.
OCTOBER 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Scores own goal in loss Sierralta scored an own goal in Saturday's 2-0 loss to Wolverhampton, while making two tackles (one won) and eight clearances.
Impact Sierralta led his side in clearances, but also scored agains his own net in the 74th minute to give the Wolves the 1-0 lead. The centerback started two games in a row, and will now look to get the nod again at Norwich on Saturday.

Impact The one match was their most recent before the international break, playing 90 minutes against Tottenham. The defender will likely continue in a sporadic role for Watford.
