Mostly reserve team player this season Nino tallied four goals and four assists in 39 Segunda Division appearances with Villarreal B in 2022/23.
Impact Nino started 17 La Liga games across his last two seasons with Villarreal's senior team, but he was demoted mostly to the reserve team in this campaign and only featured three times off the bench in February in the top flight. The 22-year-old forward will hope to return to the senior side and be an option next season.

Impact Nino scored two goals in 23 La Liga appearances (nine starts) this campaign, but most of that production came in the first two months as he made just four starts from mid-October onwards. The 21-year-old is set to return from loan to Villarreal in the summer.

Impact Nino had a quiet outing Saturday as he failed to attempt a single shot in 90 minutes. The striker has now registered one goal in three appearances this season, along with producing five shots and two chances created. He will look to bounce back Sunday versus Villareal.

Impact Nino was brought in the 64th minute, replacing Abdon Prats, and made an immediate impact, suffering the foul that led to Ruben Duarte's red card two minutes later. And the forward ended up as the hero for Mallorca as he scored the lone goal of the match in the 80th minute after picking up an amazing long pass by Salva Sevilla. Joins Mallorca on loan Nino signed with Mallorca on a season-long loan from Villarreal, it was announced Wednesday.
Impact Nino scored three times in 17 league appearances (eight starts) last season and threw in two more goals during Villarreal's march to the Europa League trophy. He'll hope to get even more minutes with the island club, which certainly needs more depth on the wings if they plan on staying in La Liga next season as well. With Yeremi Pino winning the last spot among the forwards at Villarreal, this will be Nino's time to shine on his own.
