Finds rare assist Fabinho assisted once to go with zero corners and one chance created in Sunday's 4-4 draw versus Southampton.
Impact Fabinho earned his second assist in the Premier League finale, assisting on his only chance created. The defensive midfielder was nowhere near his best during the 2022/23 campaign, ending on a pair of assists and no goals. Fabinho fell victim to a Liverpool midfield that struggled for any sort of consistency with his worst return for both goals and assists. Fabinho still made 36 appearances (31 starts) and has little competition for his starting job in pre-season.

Pair of shots in win Fabinho had two shots (zero on goal) in Monday's 3-0 win against Leicester City.
Impact Fabinho didn't have much to do from defensive midfield during Monday's win, though he did send a pair of long range efforts in. The defensive midfielder has underwhelmed in 2022/23 with only one Premier League assist and no goals. It's been a season to forget for Fabinho, and he doesn't seem to be any closer to regaining his goal-scoring touch of seasons past.

Assists in win Fabinho assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 3-2 win versus Nottingham Forest.
Impact Fabinho finally opened his goal contribution account for 2022/23 with an assist during Saturday's narrow win. The defensive midfielder has been struggling mightily compared to previous seasons in England, showing a complete lack of end product as a finisher or provider. Still the assist means he won't finish the season off the scoresheet entirely. Fabinho has taken only 14 shots (three on goal) during his 29 Premier League appearances.
APRIL 22, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Two shots in draw Fabinho recorded two shots (zero on goal) and one chance created in Tuesday's 0-0 draw versus Chelsea. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 74th minute.
Impact Fabinho tried to make a difference in defensive midfield but there was little to be done during Tuesday's draw. Neither team offered any sort of attacking threat and yet another tepid draw played out between the two sides. Fabinho has struggled in an entirely lackluster Liverpool midfield in 2022/23.
APRIL 5, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Limited off bench Fabinho came off the bench for 19 minutes during Saturday's 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.
Impact Fabinho has struggled for form throughout the 2022/23 season and even fell out of the starting XI on Saturday. The midfielder was brought on the pitch for the final 19 minutes and made a single tackle in yet another lackluster showing. The midfielder will hope to find some form and hold onto a seemingly tentative role in the starting XI.

Named to starting XI Fabinho (illness) was included in the starting XI versus Everton on Monday.
Impact Fabinho gets back onto the pitch after missing out versus Wolverhampton on Feb. 4 due to an illness. The midfielder should continue to feature prominently in the starting XI moving forward but is unlikely to offer much in the way of offensive upside considering he has just three shots on target this season.

Training with team Fabinho (illness) was pictured in training with Liverpool on Thursday, and will likely be available to return to the squad for Monday's clash against Everton.
Impact Fabinho missed last weekend's loss to Wolves due to an illness, but he seems likely to return by Monday's Everton match. His status will likely become clearer during manager Jurgen Klopp's press conference on Friday.

Creates chance in loss Fabinho recorded one tackle (zero won), one clearance and one interception in Saturday's 3-0 defeat against Brighton.
Impact Fabinho created a single chance but failed to get much done in general during Saturday's one-sided loss. The defensive midfielder was unable to accomplish much and ended up struggling as he has throughout the majority of the 2022/23 campaign. Fabinho has lacked upside on either side of the ball and has majorly struggled for form.

Starting against Brentford Fabinho (personal) is in Liverpool's starting lineup for Monday's clash against Brentford.
Impact Fabinho missed last week's win over Leicester due to personal reasons, but he has featured in every other match this season for Liverpool and he returns to the XI in midfield on Monday.

Absent against Leicester City Fabinho has been left out of the match-day squad against Foxes on Friday for personal reasons, James Pearce of The Athletic reports.
Impact Fabinho will miss his first match of the season for the club, having played in all 21 contests across the EPL and UCL, including 17 starts. Jordan Henderson will step into a more defensive role with Fabinho sidelined while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will make just his second start of the season.

Wins two tackles against Cameroon Fabinho made two clearances, an interception and won two of three tackles in Friday's 1-0 defeat against Cameroon.
Impact Fabinho started in the group stage finale Friday as Brazil's qualification to the knockout rounds had already been secured. He is likely to return to the bench in favor of Casemiro in the Round of 16, though he could get more playing time if manager Tite opts for more defensive solidity in midfield for the knockout rounds.

Quiet in loss Fabinho played the full 90 during Saturday's 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.
Impact Fabinho has recorded just four tackles in his last three matches (two starts). As he completed the full 90 Saturday and not in the two games before, Fabinho hasn't recorded a clean sheet himself in nine straight appearances.
OCTOBER 22, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Wins two tackles in UCL win Fabinho made a clearance and won two of two tackles in Tuesday's 2-1 Champions League victory against Ajax.
Impact Fabinho has started seven of Liverpool's eight matches this season across all competitions, the only constant in an ever-changing midfield Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita, Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have all missed time due to injuries already.

Starting against Real Madrid Fabinho (hamstring) is in the starting XI for Saturday's match against Real Madrid.
Impact Fabinho is in the XI as expected for Saturday's final after getting in a full week of training. He's been out for just over two weeks with the injury suffered May 10, so there is a question about how long he'll go against Real Madrid. While playing as a midfielder, he's found the back of the net a few times this season, including in the second leg against Villarreal.
MAY 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Named to traveling squad Fabinho (hamstring) will be a member of the traveling squad ahead of Saturday's UCL final versus Real Madrid.
Impact After missing the last two matches, Fabinho could be in the mix to reclaim a spot in the starting XI against Real Madrid. In his previous five appearances, the midfielder generate one goal on three shots (one on target), 11 tackles (eight won) and six interceptions. While Fabinho won't be the focal point of the Liverpool attack, he should be capable of offering top-half fantasy value.
MAY 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Pictured in training Fabinho (hamstring) was pictured in training Wednesday ahead of Saturday's match against Real Madrid.
Impact More information on Fabinho will be made available following Jurgen Klopp's press conference, but this is at least a positive update. It's unknown where he's at in terms of fitness and health given he's been out two weeks with a hamstring injury, but it's hard to see him going a full 90 in Saturday's final.

Late test for finale Fabinho (hamstring) is a doubt for Sunday's match against Wolverhampton, according to manager Jurgen Klopp. "It looks good but the boys make steps and we will see. My preferred sol...
Impact Fabinho is being lumped in with the other injuries on the team, but he seems like the biggest doubt as he has a hamstring injury and even if it was only a tweak, he probably wouldn't start Sunday. At best, Fabinho will be on the bench Sunday and get a few minutes, but it's more likely he'll be rested and get in more training next week ahead of the UCL final.

Fabinho to miss FA Cup final, could make European final

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says midfielder Fabinho will miss the FA Cup final on Saturday but has a chance of playing in the Champions League final on May 28
MAY 12, 2022 • Associated Press
Out for Cup final Fabinho (muscular) will miss Saturday's FA Cup final at a minimum, according to manager Jurgen Klopp. "There's a good chance that he will be back whenever - not for the weekend but...
Impact It's a classic update from Klopp and not an overly positive one, as there's a chance Fabinho will miss the rest of the season with this injury. If it's a hamstring tweak, he'll likely be out one or two weeks and if it's worse, he may not appear again. For now, it's assumed he'll be out the next week of matches with Naby Keita likely coming into the XI unless Curtis Jones continues to get time.
