Forced to retire early Mwepu has been forced to end his playing career following the diagnosis of a hereditary heart condition.

Impact It's an unfortunate update for Mwepu, who only recently was being tested because of the issue. Set for a bigger role this season and already with two starts, Mwepu will now move on to other things in his life at 24 years old. From Zambia, he already had an impressive career after making his name in the Champions League with Red Bull Salzburg. He ends with 24 league appearances for Brighton in two seasons with the club.
