Unavailable against Brighton Simms (undisclosed) is unavailable for Sunday's Premier League clash against Brighton for an unspecified reason.

Impact Simms has primarily served as a reserve option behind Taiwo Awoniyi this season, leaving him with limited opportunities to lead the attack. His absence Sunday further reduces Coventry's depth at center-forward, though it shouldn't significantly impact the starting XI with Awoniyi available to lead the line. Simms' return timeline remains unclear with no details provided regarding the reason for his absence.

Shutdown in loss Simms generated one clearance in Friday's 3-0 defeat against Arsenal.

Impact Simms made one clearance and failed to record any stats going forward during Friday's loss. This was always likely to be the case in such a brutally difficult opener, so can only move on and try to bounce-back against Hull City next time out.

Takes shot in start Simms took a shot and created a chance in Monday's 2-0 defeat against Liverpool.

Impact Simms made just the second Premier League start of his career on Monday, and he never posed too much danger to Liverpool in Monday's Merseyside derby. The 22-year-old would be better served as a backup option at this early point in his development, although that would be dependent on Dominic Calvert-Lewin's unreliable ability to stay healthy.

Returning early from loan Simms will return to Everton from his loan spell at Sunderland on January 1st.

Impact Simms was having a successful spell with Sunderland, scoring seven times and providing two assists in 17 appearances. With that kind of success, Everton could look to use the attacker to bolster their first team squad the remainder of the season.

Starts in draw Simms logged 62 minutes during Thursday's 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

Impact Simms was handed his EPL debut under difficult circumstances with numerous senior players hurt or unavailable. He didn't look out of place, but he was certainly isolated without much support and was eventually withdrawn without taking a shot. Until the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin (quad) and Richarlison (thigh) return, Simms could get more chances to start and mature at the highest level.
