Misses season finale
Criscito was not involved in the Decision Day defeat against the Union.
Impact
Criscito started almost every game for which he was eligible since joining Toronto in June, keeping two clean sheets in 15 MLS appearances (14 starts) and scoring a goal against New England. The 35-year-old was mostly utilized at left-back this season, but he can also play in central defense as he looks forward to 2023.

Impact
Criscito made his second appearance since joining Toronto, being brought in the 63rd minute and making an immediate impact as his side looked for offensive support in their comeback attempt. Unfortunately for the veteran left back, his efforts didn't lead to goals here, but he displayed once again his great two-way fantasy upside. Up next for Criscito is Saturday's visit to Montreal.

Impresses in MLS debut

Impact
Criscito made his MLS debut after transferring from Genoa and left a very nice first impression, playing for 80 minutes and making substantial contributions on both sides of the pitch. The well-known offensive acumen makes the left back a great two-way performer no matter which league he's playing in and that shouldn't be different in MLS. Up next for Criscito is Wednesday's visit to Chicago.

Transfers to Toronto
Criscito has signed an 18-month contract with Toronto FC after transferring from Genoa, the club announced Wednesday.
Impact
Criscito is leaving Genoa for what feels like the final time -- he began his career there before his 2011 move to Zenit, and then returned to Genoa in 2018 -- having tallied 30 goals in 274 appearances for the club overall. The 35-year-old is now moving to MLS, where he will want to bolster a Toronto back line that has conceded the most goals in the Eastern Conference this season. He will be competing with Chris Mavinga and Shane O'Neill for a spot next to Carlos Salcedo in central defense, possibly in a back-three.

Criscito took one off-target shot, sent in four inaccurate crosses, won four of four tackles and had four interceptions in last Saturday's 0-1 loss to Bologna.

Criscito had a strong showing on both ends despite the losing effort in the season finale. Multiple injuries have slowed him down this season, but he still finished with six goals, 50 crosses (nine accurate), 37 tackles and 51 clearances in 20 appearances (18 starts).

Impact
Criscito came off the bench at halftime and put up decent numbers in his return from the latest injury, but he squandered a major opportunity to tie the game late. He had previously converted ten PKs in a row. He will likely affect Johan Vasquez's playing time down the stretch. He has recorded five goals, one assist, 34 interceptions and 31 tackles in 17 appearances (15 starts). Genoa will host Juventus Friday.

Criscito (calf) was able to train with the rest of the group Monday, Genoa informed.

Criscito (calf) did not play in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Salernitana.

Called up for Salernitana match
Criscito (calf) has been included in Genoa's squad list for Sunday's game versus Salernitana.

He might crack the XI right away considering his importance to the team and the absences of Mattia Bani and Leo Ostigard. He has converted five penalty kicks so far and posted 18 shots, 29 tackles, 42 clearances and 27 crosses in 15 matches.
