Keeps clean sheet Saturday Spence generated one shot (one on goal), four crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-0 win against Brentford.
Impact Spence made his return to the starting XI Saturday after missing the last two matches with a knock. His return coincided with a significant jump in defensive play as Spurs only allowed on shot on target in the clean sheet. It marked Spence's first clean sheet since Oct. 26. He was productive on the attack too as he put a shot on target for just the second time this season and tied a season high with four crosses.

Should play despite knock Spence is questionable for Tuesday's match against Copenhagen due to a knock, according to manager Thomas Frank. "Djed got a knock. He could and should be available."
Impact Spence was dealt a knock to begin the week, but is already appearing to trend in the right direction, as the defender is expected to be an option. He is their starting left-back, so this is good news for the club, having started in 10 of his 12 appearances this season. If he were to miss out on the left, as they may be cautious in UCL play, Destiny Udogie is his likely replacement.

Playing regularly this season Spence has started in seven of his eight appearances between the Premier League and the Champions League in 2025/26.
Impact Spence has been playing more than anyone could've expected in the early stages of the 2024/25 season, and he's been in the XI in all but two of the Spurs' contests between the Premier League and the Champions League. His ability to play on both flanks gives manager Thomas Frank some much-needed versatility on the defensive end.

Inks contract extension Spence has signed a new long-term contract with Tottenham, the club announced.
Impact Spence joined Spurs from Middlesbrough in 2022 and has made 42 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals. The right-back made his full Premier League debut in December 2024 and scored his first league goal in February. He was part of the squad that won the Europa League and also gained experience in Europe with loan spells at Stade Rennais, Leeds United and Genoa. The 25-year-old is expected to serve as the backup to Destiny Udogie this season but started the season opener against Burnley with Udogie sidelined due to a knee injury.

Solid as backup full back Spence scored one goal and provided two assists across 25 appearances (19 starts) in the Premier League.
Impact Spence had a solid season for Spurs, one where he saw a decent amount of playing time due to loads of injuries on the backline. He appeared in four of the first 15 matches of the season (all off the bench), but then joined the starting XI in December and started 19 of the final 23 matches of the season, switching between right back and left back. He scored one goal, provided two assists and kept two clean sheets across those 25 appearances. Despite joining Spurs three years ago, this was his first full season with the club and he proved to fit in. After a campaign where first choice left back Destiny Udogie struggled, Spence could keep the momentum going and feature regularly next season.

Scores own goal Sunday Spence had an own goal and four crosses (one accurate) in Sunday's 4-2 defeat versus Wolverhampton.
Impact Spence scored an own goal in the 38th minute of Sunday's match, but it's hard to put all the blame on him. Guglielmo Vicario parried a Wolves cross directly into Spence's body and then the ball trickled into the net to give Wolves a 2-0 lead. Outside of that unfortunate moment, Spence had a decent individual performance. He tied a season high with four crosses on the attack and on the defensive end he won three tackles, intercepted one pass, made two clearances, blocked one shot and won eight duels in his full 90 minutes of action.

That said, he will hope to see the start immediately following the ban, although Pedro Porro could continue in the starting role.
