Impact Jota had suffered a foot injury that was thought to have ended his season, but he was able to make a quick recovery and appear in the season finale as Liverpool secured Champions League qualification for next season. Despite a knee injury in the middle of the season, Jota enjoyed a productive first campaign on the Merseyside as he scored 13 goals and provided one assist during 28 appearances (18 starts) in the Premier League and Champions League. He's expected to play a pivotal role next season and will now compete with Portugal in the European Championship this summer.
