Impact Rubio missed the last two games for Austin due to a hamstring injury and will be sidelined for a third straight match after being ruled out for Wednesday's first playoff clash against LAFC. The forward has been an undisputed starter in Austin's frontline since mid-July, so his absence will force a change in the starting XI, with Robert Taylor and Jader Obrian as likely replacements.

Impact Rubio isn't an option for Saturday's clash due to a hamstring injury. The forward was held out last time out as well and is now set to miss Decision Day. The goal was the second of the campaign for the forward and his first since May. Rubio has made 10 successive appearances (nine starts) for Austin, scoring and assisting once each over that span. Rubio has not played past the 83rd minute mark in any of his 23 MLS appearances (10 starts) this season.

Impact Rubio started for the first time this year and didn't need much time to make an impact as he assisted Brandon Vazquez for the goal that broke the deadlock in the 10th minute. However, the forward couldn't keep it up afterwards, which led him to be subbed off just before the hour mark. After struggling in his first campaign with Austin last year, Rubio will hope to have enough playing time to prove he can still perform like he did in Colorado and Kansas City in the past.

Signs contract extension Austin have signed Rubio to a contract extension until the end of the 2025 MLS season, with an option for 2026, on Thursday.
Impact Rubio had an underwhelming debut season with Austin, notching just four goals across 33 appearances (23 starts). His 16-goal season with the Rapids in 2022 seems to be in distant memory now, but the Chilean could be primed to have a regular role with Austin in 2025 if the club doesn't bolster its attacking depth.
