Nealis has been traded to D.C. United from the New York Red Bulls in exchange for General Allocation Money, according to his former club.

Nealis is no longer a member of New York but will remain an MLS player, as he has been traded to D.C. United. Baribo is the first major transfer of the MLS offseason, as the forward is leaving Philadelphia after three seasons, joining D.C. on a five-year deal. Impact
Pirani had an excellent 2025, scoring seven times and adding three assists in 28 appearances (22 starts.) He's seen his role increase across each of his three seasons with the club and he's improved as his playing time has grown. Pirani should be a big offensive threat in 2026 with the club rebuilding around him in large part.

Kijima finished the season with some injury issues, but if he can get fit he could return to the large role he had in the first half of the campaign.

Hopkins finished 2025 as a starter scoring three times and making 17 appearances (11 starts) total. The winger is now returning to D.C. United for another season, with eyes on topping 1,000 minutes for the first time in his career. His three goals in 2025 set a new career-high.

Jackson Hopkins - Starter to end 2025
Hopkins generated six crosses (one accurate) and four corners in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Atlanta United. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 64th minute.
Impact
Hopkins worked himself into a starting role this season and maintained that into the season finale, starting in 11 of his 17 appearances this campaign. He would catch fire for a period of time, recording three goals on eight shots this season, all of which came in a four-game span. He will now look to earn a bigger role next season, although the club will have to pick up his option, as his contact runs out in December.
