Bayern Munich has warmed up for its Champions League opener against Chelsea by routing Hamburger SV 5-0 in the Bundesliga

Hamburger SV signs Israel goalkeeper Daniel Peretz on loan from Bayern Munich

Israel goalkeeper Daniel Peretz is joining promoted Hamburger SV from Bayern Munich on loan for next season
JULY 21 • Associated Press
Loaned to HSV Peretz was loaned to HSV for the 2025/26 campaign, Munich announced.
Impact Peretz was set to be the third string in Munich, but now gets a move to HSV where he should be the starter. The goalkeeper hasn't had many chance to play with the Bavarian's and after the signing of Jonas Urbig his time in Munich could be coming to a close.
JULY 21 • ROTOWIRE
Back on the bench Tuesday Peretz (abdomen) was back on the bench in Tuesday's 2-0 win against Leverkusen in the Champions League, confirming he has fully recovered from his injury.
Impact Peretz was on the bench Tuesday confirming he has fully recovered from his abdomen injury and is available moving forward. His return does not impact the squad much as he remains the third or fourth goalkeeper in the hierarchy.
MARCH 14 • ROTOWIRE
Completes individual session Peretz (abdomen) was able to train individually for the first time Sunday.
Impact Peretz is making good progress from his bruised kidney, returning to the grass for the first time in over a month. He will need more sessions before completing full team training, keeping him unlikely for the trip to Celtic on Wednesday.
FEBRUARY 9 • ROTOWIRE
Suffers bruised kidney Peretz suffered a bruised kidney in training Wednesday and is likely to miss the next two to three weeks, according to his club.
Impact Peretz is heading back to the injury list once again this campaign, with the goalie suffering a bruised kidney in training. This will leave him out for some time, likely missing between two to three weeks. However, this will depend on his recovery and how his body reacts, possibly being sidelined longer.
JANUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Quiet in win Daniel Peretz registered no saves and allowed one goal in Friday's 5-1 win against RB Leipzig.
Impact Peretz conceded once in the second minute and then didn't face a single shot for the rest of the match. There's not much to take away from Friday's clash, sometimes this Munich side is just so good they don't allow anything to come the other way. Peretz will be a top goalkeeping option in Germany as long as Manuel Neuer remains out.
DECEMBER 20, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Concedes twice in loss Peretz recorded two saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Mainz.
Impact Peretz made his second straight start Saturday with Manuel Neuer (ribs) out. He faced three shots on target and conceded two goals, both to Lee Jae-Sung. Next up he faces a more difficult matchup versus RB Leipzig on Friday, a side which has scored 23 goals through 14 matches this season.
DECEMBER 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Three saves in start Peretz registered three saves and allowed one goal in Tuesday's 5-1 win against FC Shakhtar Donetsk.
Impact For at least the next month, Peretz will be Bayern Munich's go-to goalkeeper while Manuel Neuer recovers from a broken rib. While the legendary GK may not sit out any more Champions League games, he will be unavailable for at least a few Bundesliga matchups. As long as his form does not deter too much, Peretz is expected to be Bayern's goalkeeper Saturday at Mainz and against RB Leipzig on Dec. 20.
DECEMBER 10, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Allows two against Heidenheim Peretz recorded no saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 4-2 win over FC Heidenheim. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 87th minute.
Impact Peretz saw his first minutes of the season Saturday, getting the call in net after Manuel Neuer was ruled out with an injury. He was slightly poor despite the win, not making a single save while allowing two goals. He will likely return to the backup spot for their next contest unless Neuer is slated to miss more time.
DECEMBER 8, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Back in traveling squad Peretz (quad) was included in the traveling squad for Wednesday's trip to Aston Villa.
Impact Peretz is back in the traveling squad for Wednesday's trip. The goalkeeper isn't likely to see any chance in the first team, as he is firmly entrenched as the third choice. Still he's a nice depth option, especially with Manuel Neuer occasionally struggling with injury.
