Jay DaSilva - Creates a chance Dasilva generated three crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-0 loss against Manchester City.
Impact Dasilva created one chance during Saturday's loss, a nice showing in the defeat. As a defender in such a difficult match creating even a single chance is a nice boon. If he can continue to be involved going forward against some more beatable opponents he could be an even bigger upside defender. That's tough to project for what is likely one of the worst teams in the top flight.
SEPTEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Milan Van Ewijk - Three tackles in loss van Ewijk registered one cross (one accurate) and three tackles in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 19th minute.
Impact van Ewijk made three tackles during Saturday's loss, as well as sending in a cross. That's a nice performance during the defeat in one of the toughest matches of the campaign. He should be a big part of the team, and will hope he can translate this performance into some more manageable matches. If he does so he could have some sneaky upside, though it's hard to trust any Coventry defenders.
SEPTEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Taiwo Awoniyi - Poor in defeat Awoniyi generated one shot (zero on goal) in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City.
Impact Awoniyi was played out of the match entirely during Saturday's loss. He failed to get anything going throughout the match and was shut out of the match by City's marking. This is a very difficult match so it's hard to say that Awoniyi is off to a bad start this season, but his performance is worth watching in more winnable matches.
SEPTEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Jack Rudoni - Single shot Saturday Rudoni registered one shot (one on goal), two crosses (two accurate) and one corner in Saturday's 1-0 loss against Manchester City.
Impact Rudoni took just one shot as Manchester City dominated Saturday's match and left him without anywhere to go with the ball. This was always going to be a wildly difficult match for Coventry, and Rudoni didn't escape that. It wasn't a bad performance in one of the toughest matches of the season. Rudoni will look to be more involved against more beatable opponents.
SEPTEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Matt Grimes - Single shot in defeat Grimes had one shot (zero on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and one corner in Saturday's 1-0 loss against Manchester City.
Impact Grimes didn't really get much done during Saturday's loss. The midfielder couldn't get involved in the center of the park as City's quality just proved to be too much to handle for Grimes. This is one of the toughest matches on the schedule, so it should get easier from here for Grimes and co.
SEPTEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Ethan Pinnock - Quiet in loss Pinnock had one shot (zero on goal) in Saturday's 1-0 loss against Manchester City. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 92nd minute.
Impact Pinnock wasn't overly involved during Saturday's loss, and was shown a yellow card during second half stoppage time. It's not a bad performance especially against one of the top teams in the league, and Coventry City really didn't expect much more. Still Pinnock will rue that they so nearly held City to nothing.
SEPTEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Loum Tchaouna - Two shots off the bench Tchaouna had two shots (one on goal), five crosses (one accurate) and three corners in Saturday's 1-0 loss against Manchester City.
Impact Tchaouna came off the bench and immediately took on a split of set-pieces, while also sending in a couple shots. The forward doesn't have major upside if he's on the bench, but if he comes into the starting XI with this sort of role he would immediately have a strong outlook. Tchaouna should get more chances in the coming weeks if Coventry decide to rotate.
SEPTEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Bobby Thomas - Five shots in loss Thomas recorded five shots (zero on goal) and three chances created in Saturday's 1-0 loss to Manchester City.
Impact Thomas had a game to remember even in a loss, he took five shots and created a ridiculous three chances during Saturday's loss. The defender was shockingly busy in a match that City controlled throughout. If he can maintain this sort of volume he will have some big upside in the coming months.
SEPTEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Frank Onyeka - Starting in midfield Onyeka (undisclosed) is in the starting XI for Saturday's clash against Manchester City.
Impact Onyeka returned from the undisclosed issue that had kept him out of the match against Hull City, with coach Frank Lampard handing him a starting role after confirming he would be an option for the weekend. The midfielder had made his Premier League debut in the loss to Arsenal before the setback, contributing one tackle and three interceptions, and his return to the starting lineup gives Coventry a more experienced option in the engine room.

Sidiki Cherif - Building fitness Cherif is still building fitness as he looks for his Premier League debut, according to manager Frank Lampard. "We see him as a striker for what he brings and what his attributes a...
Impact Cherif joined the club with a few weeks left in the transfer window but has yet to make his debut for the club, with the forward instead going unused. This is as the club builds his match fitness, trying to prepare the forward for Premier League play after a move from Turkey. There is a chance he could finally feature for his new club, although it would likely only be from the bench, not ready for starting time yet.
SEPTEMBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Yann Gboho - Signs with Coventry Gboho completed a transfer to Coventry City from Toulouse, according to his former club.
Impact Gboho made 89 appearances for Toulouse across two and a half seasons, scoring 19 goals with 12 assists, including a personal best campaign last season with 10 goals and three assists across 35 matches. He also finished last season atop Ligue 1's dribbling leaderboard, and now begins the next chapter of his career under coach Frank Lampard.
SEPTEMBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Frank Onyeka - Option against Manchester City Onyeka (undisclosed) will be an option for Saturday's clash against Manchester City, according to coach Frank Lampard, per BBC Sport Coventry & Warwickshire.
Impact Onyeka had missed the match against Hull City, an absence that came not long after his Premier League debut in the loss to Arsenal, where he contributed one tackle and three interceptions. His return now gives Coventry back an option in midfield, with Jack Rudoni having taken on a larger role during his recent absence.

Stephen Mfuni - Ineligible to play Saturday Mfuni is ineligible to play in Saturday's clash against his parent club Manchester City due to standard loan restriction rules.
Impact Mfuni joined Coventry City on a season long loan from Man City this summer, having gained his first senior experience last season with eight Championship appearances during a loan spell at Watford. The standard loan restriction rules him out of this particular fixture, and he should otherwise be available to compete for minutes across the back line under manager Frank Lampard.

Arsenal 'relaxed' after flying start to Premier League title defence Premier League champions Arsenal started their title defence with a 3-0 win over Coventry City, and a trip to Aston Villa is next up.

AUGUST 30 • BEINSPORTS.COM
Stephen Mfuni - Joins Coventry on loan Mfuni has joined Coventry City on a season-long loan from Manchester City.
Impact Mfuni arrives at Coventry after gaining his first senior experience last season, including eight Championship appearances during a loan spell with Watford. The 18-year-old can operate at both center-back and left-back, giving Coventry additional depth and flexibility across the defensive line. His versatility, athleticism and ability to play in multiple defensive roles should help him compete for minutes as he takes his first steps in the Premier League.
AUGUST 30 • ROTOWIRE
Bobby Thomas - Makes nine clearances Thomas generated one cross (zero accurate) and nine clearances in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Hull City.
Impact Thomas produced nine clearances in 78 minutes, the highest total among Coventry's defenders, before being replaced late in the contest. Hull remained scoreless throughout his time on the pitch, with the winner arriving four minutes after his departure. Thomas' aerial presence and willingness to attack balls into the box should make him a useful defensive presence throughout Coventry's return to the Premier League, particularly in matches where the side faces sustained pressure.
AUGUST 30 • ROTOWIRE
Milan Van Ewijk - Creates two chances van Ewijk registered three crosses (two accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Hull City.
Impact Van Ewijk was one of Coventry's more productive creators, generating two key passes while completing two of his three crosses from right-back. He also won his lone tackle and created Jay Dasilva's late headed opportunity. His speed and attacking intent from defense should remain an important part of Coventry's approach, particularly when the side needs additional width against deeper defensive blocks.
AUGUST 30 • ROTOWIRE
Ephron Mason-Clark - Delivers six crosses Mason-Clark had six crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Hull City.
Impact Mason-Clark was aggressive from the left flank, producing six crosses and one key pass in only 58 minutes, while also contributing two clearances. Although just one delivery was accurate, his willingness to repeatedly take on defenders and put the ball into dangerous areas gives Coventry another direct attacking outlet. That crossing volume could translate into more chances and assists as the season develops.
AUGUST 30 • ROTOWIRE
Caleb Yirenkyi - Provides key pass Yirenkyi registered one shot (zero on goal), one cross (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Hull City.
Impact Yirenkyi combined attacking and defensive production, recording one key pass, one accurate cross and three clearances across 71 minutes. His delivery created an opportunity for Taiwo Awoniyi, demonstrating his ability to progress play from central midfield. Yirenkyi's energy and two-way profile could make him an important part of Coventry's midfield as he adjusts to Premier League opposition.
AUGUST 30 • ROTOWIRE
Jack Rudoni - Creates chance in defeat Rudoni had one shot (zero on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 1-0 defeat versus Hull City.
Impact Rudoni produced one shot, one key pass and one interception across 71 minutes, showing some involvement on both sides of the ball without finding a decisive contribution. His ability to operate in advanced midfield areas gives him opportunities to link play and arrive around the penalty area. More consistent shooting and chance creation would strengthen his attacking output as the season progresses.
AUGUST 30 • ROTOWIRE
Jay DaSilva - Active going forward in loss Dasilva had one shot (one on goal) and three crosses (zero accurate) in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Hull City.
Impact Dasilva continued to push forward from left-back and put his only shot on target, forcing Konstatinos Tzolakis into a stoppage-time save with a header. He also supplied three crosses and one interception across 90 minutes. His willingness to join the attack gives Coventry another source of width from defense and should provide opportunities for creative production over the course of the season.
AUGUST 30 • ROTOWIRE
Loum Tchaouna - Active from right flank Tchaouna generated one shot (zero on goal), five crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-0 loss versus Hull City.
Impact Tchaouna showed plenty of attacking intent during his 59 minutes, producing five crosses and one shot, with one of his deliveries creating an opportunity for Taiwo Awoniyi. His pace and willingness to attack defenders give Coventry a direct threat from the right side, even though the end product was limited Saturday. Continued involvement in wide areas should provide opportunities for both goals and assists if he maintains a regular starting role.
