Impact Walton had a day to forget against City, as he would suffer his worst defeat of the season after allowing six goals. He will look to see a better performance next outing, although that seems unlikely, as they face another tough obstacle in Liverpool on Saturday.

Monday is a promising way for Walton to end his 2024, whose Chelsea appearance was his lone since inking a contract extension back in September.

Impact Walton has no intentions of leaving Ipswich anytime soon, as the 28-year-old has inked an extension until 2026. He has been with the club since 2021, mainly serving in a backup role. He looks likely to continue in that role throughout the remainder of his contract, with Arijanet Muric having a firm grip on the starting spot.
