Back to Hoffenheim Szalai has completed his loan spell with Hoffenheim and will return to Freiburg ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Impact Szalai did not see much playing time with Freiburg, making just three appearances as he was mainly an unused sub for the team. He will return to Hoffenheim as his status in the league remains to be determined.
