Impact Ruggeri had his best performance of the season Friday, highlighted by his assist off a cross to Marten de Roon in the 58th minute. He set season highs in shots taken (three), chances created (four), crosses (11) and accurate crosses (five). He also won both of his attempted tackles and made two clearances in his full 90 minutes of action. With a performance like this, it would be no surprise to continue seeing him in the starting XI following the international break.

Rasmus Hojlund - Scores winner off bench Hojlund scored one goal on two shots (both on target) in Friday's 2-1 win versus Empoli.

Impact Hojlund scored the winning goal Friday, as his unassisted strike in the 86th minute found the top right corner and gave his team all three points. He was subbed on in just the 79th minute too, but still managed to make the most important play of the day. He now has seven goals on the season, the second most on the team behind Ademola Lookman's 12.

Luis Muriel - 18 crosses in win Muriel created four chances, took two off-target shots, recorded 18 crosses (five accurate) and took 11 corners in Friday's 2-1 win versus Empoli.

Impact Muriel made his first start since Oct. 23 Friday, and marked the occasion with an excellent performance. He had by far his best creative performance of the season, as he set new season highs in chances created (four), accurate crosses (five) and doubled his previous best with a whopping 18 crosses. He also took 11 corners in the match, five more than his previous best. It is somewhat surprising with all this production he didn't manage to record an assist, but if he keeps up this form he undoubtedly will soon.

Davide Zappacosta - 16 crosses in win Zappacosta created three chances, took three off-target shots and recorded 16 crosses (five accurate) in Friday's 2-1 win versus Empoli.

Impact Zappacosta put together an excellent performance Friday, as he recorded a whopping 16 crosses (five accurate) in his 89 minutes of action. He had just nine crosses (three accurate) in his previous nine appearances this season, so this performance truly came out of no where. It wasn't just him who racked up crosses though - two of his teammates (Luis Muriel and Matteo Ruggeri) also had 10 or more crosses and the team combined for 56 total crosses versus Empoli. Zappacosta also put in solid defensive work too as he won one of two tackles attempted and intercepted on pass.

Duvan Zapata - Four shots in win Zapata took four shots (all off target), created two chances and recorded three crosses (one accurate) in Friday's 2-1 win versus Empoli.

Impact Zapata had a decent performance Friday, as he took a season high four shots and recorded three crosses for just the third time this season. While he did record four shots, none of them hit the target, which encapsulates his disappointing season thus far with just one goal in 17 appearances. He has done fairly well getting into positions to score, as well as creating chances for his teammates, but the end product has simply not been there for him this season.
