Heads back to Sunderland Patterson will return to parent club Sunderland following the conclusion of his loan spell at Millwall.

Impact Patterson made 16 Championship starts across 1,440 minutes for Millwall, recording 38 saves and seven clean sheets while conceding 14 goals throughout the campaign. Patterson now heads back to Sunderland where his future will be assessed heading into the 2026/27 Premier League season, having previously been the undisputed first choice at the Stadium of Light across three consecutive Championship seasons before the loan move.
