Fringe option Lucoqui scored once during 13 appearances (nine starts) in the Bundesliga in the 2021/22 season.

Impact Lucoqui wasn't much of an option for Mainz, though when he was called upon due to injury he did well in a backup role. With everyone healthy Lucoqui was firmly set as an unused sub, spending the final three matches on the bench. Lucoqui still has plenty of potential, and could break into the first team before the 2022/23 season.

Impact Lucoqui didn't have much to do during Saturday's draw as neither team found much offensive success. The midfielder is a rare fantasy option, and often is left on the bench. It's not worth targeting Lucoqui even when starting simply due to his low ceiling in a relatively poor Mainz attack.

Impact Having missed the last five matches, Lucoqui was ready to put his signature on this one. The midfielder helped to push his side's offensive tempo, though nothing came out of it, unfortunately. It is unlikely he will play in the next match against Arminia, and if he does he probably won't play this well.

Impact Lucoqui will be out for a bit over a month with a ligament injury in his knee that he picked up in training. The midfielder will hope to return before 2022, but likely won't be rushed back. Aaron could move into the starting XI in his place.
