Transfers to Leicester Smithies has signed a two-year contract with Leicester City in August 2022 after transferring from Cardiff City, the club announced Friday.

Impact Smithies has kept 23 clean sheets in 92 Championship games across his last three seasons with Cardiff. The 32-year-old is now moving up to the Premier League where he should be Danny Ward's backup in goal at Leicester, at least to start out the campaign.
