Transfers to Lazio Romagnoli has signed a five-year contract with Lazio after transferring from AC Milan, the club announced Tuesday.

Impact Romagnoli leaves Milan having made 247 appearances for the club in all competitions since joining from Roma in 2015, but the former Italy international -- his most recent cap came in November 2019 -- had been usurped in the starting lineup by Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu by the end of last season. The 27-year-old is now moving to Lazio, where he presumably will be competing with fellow new signing Nicolo Casale for the starting spot alongside Francesco Acerbi in central defense, though Acerbi isn't getting any younger himself as he'll be turning 35 years old this campaign.
