Eddy Vilard joins FOX Deportes after nearly twenty years of a career that has spanned the worlds of scripted dramas, reality shows and sports reporting.

A native of Mexico City, Mexico, Vilard first made headlines as a teenage cast member of “Rebelde,” the global smash out of Mexico.

Vilard continued his acting career, earned the award for Best Male Revelation at the 2009 TVyNovelas Awards for his work in “Alma de Hierro.”

After appearing in countless other hit scripted programs, Vilard he made his debut as a host of reality shows when he helmed “Mexico Tiene Talento,” the Mexican version of the global “Got Talent” franchise.   He then went to host popular all three Mexican editions of “The Voice” franchise: “La Voz,” “La Voz Kids” and “La Voz Senior.”

He has also extensive experiencing covering the biggest sports leagues and events for social and digital platforms. He has worked with NBA Mexico and NFL Mexico including a tour of multiple NFL teams.  He also covered two World Cups as well as created content on a tour of all thirty MLB Stadiums.

A passionate sports fan, Vilard dreamed of becoming a professional soccer player, spending time with the youth systems of Cruz Azul, Necaxa and Monterrey before deciding to pursue to his acting career.

He is diehard fan of Club America in Liga MX, the Dallas Cowboys and loves to play Poker.  Vilard also has a degree in Psychiatry with a Master’s Degree in Cognitive Behavior and Clinical Sexology.
