CARLOS ALVAREZ BIO

A veteran of the TV and radio industry, Carlos Alvarez is a fixture of FOX Deportes’ Major League Baseball coverage. Equally adept at handling play-by-play, analyst or reporter duties, Alvarez joined FOX Deportes in 2015.

He also regularly appears on EL ENTRETIEMPO.

He has featured on numerous MLB World Series broadcasts including as play-by-play announcer for Game 7 in 2016 between the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians.

He has also hosted and appeared on programs on networks such as Univision, Telefutura, Mundo FOX and LATV. He won an Emmy in 2007 for his coverage of the Rose Parade.

Born in Puerto Rico to Dominican parents, Alvarez also has extensive radio experience. He has hosted daily programs on KLVE, Super Estrella and MLC Media. Alvarez also serves a play-by-play announcer for NBA League Pass and for Athletes Unlimited Female Softball League.
