Overview

Adam Wainwright, a 200-game winner and World Series champion pitcher, serves as a FOX MLB game analyst. He joined FOX in 2024 following his retirement after the 2023 season.

Wainwright, who played his entire major league career with the St. Louis Cardinals, is set to work a full schedule of regular season and MLB Postseason games for the network, including the first game of the 2024 MLB World Tour: London Series matchup between the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Mets on FOX from London Stadium in June.

FOX Sports Booth Experience

The winner of the 2020 Roberto Clemente Award for his philanthropic work, Wainwright made appearances with FOX Sports as a game analyst in 2020, 2021 and 2023 during the MLB Postseason, working alongside Adam Amin and former teammate AJ Pierzynski.

MLB History

The right-hander pitched 18 seasons for the St. Louis Cardinals, where he finished his career with 2,202 strikeouts – second to only Bob Gibson (3,117) in Cardinals franchise history. He retired with a record of 200-128 and a 3.53 ERA.

A three-time All-Star (2010, 2013, 2014), he was a World Series champion in 2006 when the Cardinals defeated the Detroit Tigers in five games on FOX. Wainwright also collected a pair of Gold Gloves (2009, 2013), a Silver Slugger Award in 2017 and was twice the National League wins leader (2009, 2013).

Wainwright played for Team USA in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

Personal

Wainwright and his wife, Jenny, reside in St. Simons Island, Ga, with their five children. He graduated from Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Ga., where he was named Gatorade Player of the Year in Georgia. Also, an All-State in football, Wainwright was named All-State as a placekicker in and All-Region as a wide receiver in 1999.
