BIO

Two-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Todd Bodine marks his 10th year as an analyst for NASCAR RACEDAY-NCTS, FS1’s Truck Series prerace show, in 2024. He assumed the role in 2015.

A veteran NASCAR driver, Bodine competed extensively in the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series during a career that has spanned more than two decades and nearly 800 career starts since his debut in the Xfinity Series in 1986. Bodine, youngest brother of fellow drivers Geoff and Brett Bodine, has earned 22 Truck Series and 15 Xfinity Series wins.

In 2022, Bodine came out of retirement for six NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races in a Halmar Friesen Racing Toyota entry with sponsorship from Camping World and the company’s CEO, Marcus Lemonis. Bodine competed at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Texas Motor Speedway, Sonoma Raceway, Nashville Superspeedway and Pocono Raceway, earning a top-10 finish and making him just the 28th driver in history to achieve 800 NASCAR national-series career starts.

In the Truck Series, Bodine has earned 92 top-five finishes, 125 top-10 finishes and seven pole positions. In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, he accumulated 90 top-five finishes, 160 top-10 finishes and seven pole positions. His NASCAR Cup Series resume boasts seven top-five and 21 top-10 finishes, on top of five pole positions, in addition to wins in the 1995 and 2001 NASCAR ALL-STAR OPEN, the qualifier for the NASCAR ALL-STAR RACE at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Cup Series.

His first Truck Series championship came with Germain Racing in 2006, when he set a record for 21-consecutive races atop the point standings. During an 11-year Truck Series career, Bodine earned at least one victory in each of the seasons he ran the full schedule. He led Germain Racing to a second Truck Series championship in 2010 on the strength of four wins, 17 top-five and 20 top-10 finishes.

In eight full NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series seasons, Bodine finished the year in the top five in points six consecutive seasons (2005-2010), following up that streak with a sixth-place showing in 2011. While in the Truck Series, he became the first series driver to collect back-to-back victories at Daytona International Speedway and also the first to win four consecutive superspeedway races (Talladega 2007; Daytona 2008; Talladega 2008; Daytona 2009).

During his tenure with Germain Racing, Bodine also earned the organization its first top-five NASCAR Xfinity Series finish (Darlington, 2008) and its first top 10 (Gateway, 2007). Bodine finished each of his seven full NASCAR Xfinity Series seasons in the top 10 in points, placing in the top five in points five of those years.

Bodine’s last full season of NASCAR competition came in 2012 in the Truck Series, and he has served as a driver coach for several young, up-and-coming drivers since.

Born in Chemung, N.Y., Bodine resides in Mooresville, N.C., with his wife, Janet. He lists among his hobbies hot rods, golf, bobsledding and snow skiing. For more information, please visit www.TeamOnion.com or follow Bodine on Twitter at @Team_Onion.
