KATIE SHANAHAN BIO

Award-winning broadcaster and former international athlete Katie Shanahan joins FOX Sports this summer, bringing her international reporting experience to U.S. audiences for the first time as a reporter for FIFA World Cup 2026™, from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, July 19, 2026.

Shanahan has covered many of the world’s biggest sporting events including, the FIFA Men’s World Cup Qatar 2022™, FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™, UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 and 2025, UEFA EURO 2024™ and the Olympic Games.

She has built a broadcasting career across the U.K. including host and pitchside reporter roles at Sky Sports, ITV and Amazon Prime Video, and is a regular contributor to Soccer Saturday, reporting from clubs across the English Football League. Her work has received industry recognition at the British Sports Journalism Awards and Broadcast Sport Awards.

A former member of England Hockey international, Shanahan competed globally for five years, winning bronze at the European Championships and clinching the Premiership title before transitioning into a leading voice in sports media.
