Veteran studio and game broadcaster Curt Menefee is the charismatic host of FOX NFL SUNDAY, the most-watched NFL pregame show in America for the past 31 years. Currently in his 20th year as host, Menefee has been a key figure in the show's success. This lively program was honored with induction into the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Hall of Fame in 2019. Menefee became the full-time host in 2007, joining forces with co-host Terry Bradshaw and studio analysts Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Rob Gronkowski along with NFL Insider Jay Glazer, to deliver insightful commentary throughout the season. In addition to his role on FOX NFL SUNDAY, Menefee hosts THE OT, a FOX football show that provides game highlights and expert analysis after a full day of matchups. When not in Los Angeles for football Sundays, Menefee can be found in New York, where he hosts Good Day New York, airing weekdays on FOX 5.
Menefee recently broadened his broadcasting portfolio by completing the second season of the UFL in Spring 2025 as the lead play-by-play announcer, teaming up once again with analyst Joel Klatt and reporter Brock Huard. This successful collaboration followed their work together during the final iteration of the USFL. In addition to his sports broadcasting achievements, Menefee began co-hosting Good Day New York alongside Rosanna Scotto in January 2024. During the NFL season, he appears on the popular morning show from Tuesdays through Fridays, airing from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Beginning his career at FOX Sports in 1997, Menefee initially worked as a sideline reporter before advancing to the game booth, where he delivered play-by-play commentary for NFL and NFL Europe League coverage on FOX Sports and FSN. His diverse skill set is highlighted by his role in hosting the UEFA Champions League final pregame show for FOX Sports, one of the few major international soccer championships to be broadcast on U.S. television. Menefee also anchored FOX's inaugural coverage of the U.S. Open Championship in 2015 from Chambers Bay. Furthermore, he hosted special UFC main events on FOX and took the helm of FOX UFC's prefight coverage, starting with the first main event in November 2011.
Through his work at WNYW FOX5 and MSG in New York, Menefee became one of the city's most beloved sportscasters. Before his tenure in New York, he served as the sports director and weeknight sports anchor at KTVT-TV in Dallas, where he also hosted a daily two-hour show on "The Ticket" sports radio. Prior to his Dallas experience, Menefee anchored sports for WTLV-TV (NBC) in Jacksonville, Florida. His impressive resume includes hosting a live two-hour daily sportscast on Sports News Network, a nationwide cable sports program, as well as serving as a sports anchor and reporter at WISC-TV (CBS) in Madison, Wisconsin, and WOI-TV (ABC) in Des Moines, Iowa.
Curt Menefee has earned numerous accolades for his sports anchoring and reporting, including the Associated Press Award for Best Sports Reporter in New York and four Katie Awards—the Texas equivalent of an Emmy—for Best Sportscast and Best Sports Special.
A seasoned traveler, Menefee has amassed an impressive collection of passport stamps. Since graduating from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA, with a Bachelor of Arts degree—where he currently serves on the Board of Trustees—he has visited all seven continents, nearly 96 countries, and many of the world's iconic landmarks. His favorite vacation destinations include New Zealand and much of South America, reflecting his global perspective on both life and career.
In 2016, Menefee authored "Losing Isn’t Everything: The Untold Stories of Hidden Lessons Behind the Toughest Losses in Sports History," a thought-provoking exploration of athletes whose legacies are defined by a single moment of defeat. The book delves into what their experiences can teach us about competition, life, and the human spirit. Motivated by the racial injustices in the United States in 2020, Menefee took action by enrolling at Northwestern University to pursue a degree in Public Policy & Administration, earning his master's in Spring 2022.
