Jonas Johansson - Starting Tuesday Johansson will guard the road goal Tuesday against New Jersey, per Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times.
Impact Johansson will get his first start of the season after making 14 saves on 15 shots in Monday's 5-2 loss to Toronto. He replaced Andrei Vasilevskiy midway through the second period. New Jersey has amassed 27 goals in eight games this campaign.

Mitchell Chaffee - Gaining trust with strong start Chaffee posted an assist, four hits and two PIM in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Impact Chaffee has found the scoresheet in the last three games (one goal, two assists). He also saw a season-high 13:30 of ice time Tuesday. The 26-year-old has seen the bulk of his NHL ice time on the fourth line in his career, but a strong start to 2024-25 has him positioned to be an option in the middle six on a more regular basis going forward.

Nikita Kucherov - Point streak at five games Kucherov notched an assist, four shots on goal and two hits in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Impact Kucherov's four-game, seven-goal streak came to a close Monday, but he's still yet to be held off the scoresheet over five contests. The winger has 10 points, 26 shots on net, five hits and a plus-6 rating. With just three of his points coming on the power play, he could still grow his offense a little more than we've seen so far.

Jonas Johansson - Works in relief Monday Johansson replaced Andrei Vasilevskiy in the second period of Monday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs. He gave up one power-play goal on 15 shots.
Impact Johansson entered the game when the outcome was already decided, and while he gave up a power-play goal to Brayden Point in the third period, his outing was decent overall. Johansson should be the starter in Tuesday's game at New Jersey in the second half of this back-to-back set.

Victor Hedman - Two assists in loss Monday Hedman dished out two assists, including one on the power play, in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Impact Hedman has yet to find the back of the net this season, but he remains heavily involved in the Lightning's offensive scheme and currently leads the team with six assists, ranking second in the league in that category among defensemen. Goals should come sooner rather than later for Hedman, though, as he's also averaging 3.0 shots per game.

Nicholas Paul - Nets goal Monday Paul scored an even-strength goal in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Impact Paul has found the back of the net in back-to-back games for the first time this season, and he's found a way to crack the scoresheet in all but one of his five appearances so far. He's up to two goals, three assists, four penalty minutes, 10 shots and eight hits in his five contests while seeing consistent ice time as a middle-six forward and a member of the second power-play unit.

Brayden Point - Scores power-play goal Point scored a power-play goal in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Impact Point found the back of the net in the latter stages of the third period with a wrister following set-ups from Nikita Kucherov and Victor Hedman, but it wasn't enough to even think about a potential comeback. Point only has one multi-point game across five outings this season, but he's been remarkably consistent and has cracked the scoresheet in all but one of those appearances. He has three goals and two assists on five outings so far, with two of those goals coming with the man advantage.

Andrei Vasilevskiy - Poor showing in Monday's loss Vasilevskiy stopped 10 of 14 shots before being removed in the second period of Monday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Impact Vasilevskiy has delivered back-to-back subpar showings, as he was coming off a defeat in Ottawa where he gave up five goals on 28 shots. These two losses have destroyed his overall numbers, and even though the Russian netminder was effective early on, he now sits at a 3-2-0 record with a 3.15 GAA and a .878 save percentage. Small-sample size applies here, but his GAA and save percentage would be career-worst marks for the 30-year-old.
