Andrei Vasilevskiy - Falls to Detroit Vasilevskiy allowed three goals on 31 shots in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.
Impact Vasilevskiy allowed just one goal through the first two periods but he'd surrender two goals in the final frame before Detroit added an empty-netter, sticking the 29-year-old netminder with a 4-2 defeat. It's the first loss in regulation since March 7 for Vasilevskiy -- he'd gone 7-0-1 with a .930 save percentage in his previous eight outings. Vasilevsy's now 28-7-2 with a .900 save percentage and 2.86 GAA on the season. He figures to be back in net Wednesday when the Lightning visit Toronto.

Impact Vasilevskiy has stopped 50 of 52 shots en route to winning his past two outings. He has compiled a 28-16-2 record with a 2.85 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 46 appearances this campaign. However, Vasilevskiy has gone 7-0-1 with a .930 save percentage across his last eight starts. The Red Wings sit ninth in the league this season with 3.31 goals per contest.

Impact Cernak was held out of Saturday's matchup with the Isles after missing a team meeting but it seems his punishment won't carry beyond that one game. Considering the defenseman has just two shots in his last 10 contests, fantasy players probably shouldn't expect him to break out of his 17-game goal drought any time soon.

Impact Johansson was unlikely to get the start against Detroit on Monday even if healthy, so his absence shouldn't have a significant impact on the team or fantasy players. The Bolts will need to recall another goalie ahead of the clash with the Red Wings, almost certainly to serve as the backup to Andrei Vasilevskiy.

Impact The points established a new career mark for Hagel, whose previous best season came last year with 64 points (81 games). Now, he has delivered 66 (23 goals, 43 assists) in 73 games, and he has done it with less output on the power play (seven points vs. 13 last season). With nine games remaining, Hagel has an opportunity to climb into the low-70s and establish a new mark for shots, too. He has 164, which is just 14 from tying his output from last season.

Impact Kucherov now sits second in league scoring with 126, one point behind Nathan MacKinnon and one ahead of Connor McDavid. With nine games remaining, he will undoubtably shatter his career mark of 128 points set in 2018-19. That was the season Kucherov won the Hart, Ted Lindsay and Art Ross Trophies. It's a tight race this season, but he will contend for all of them this season, too.

Impact Kyle Palmieri was the only Islander who solved Vasilevskiy, and it came just 2:25 into the game when the forward's shot deflected off Matt Dumba's skate and in. Vasy is 7-0-1 in his last eight starts, with just one or fewer goals allowed in four of those starts. Vasilevskiy is a big reason why the Bolts currently hold the first wild card and are within four points of the Leafs for third place in the Atlantic. He's peaking at the right time.
