Registers assist
Edvinsson notched an assist, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Flyers.
Impact
Edvinsson has three helpers over his last five games and a total of four assists in 12 games since his last goal. The 23-year-old defenseman has played at a similar level to last year, earning 25 points in 69 appearances in 2025-26 compared to 31 points in 78 outings last season. Edvinsson also has 83 shots on net, 87 hits, 75 PIM and 146 blocked shots this year while seeing steady top-four minutes.

Nets goal Saturday
Edvinsson scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Stars.
Impact
Edvinsson ended a four-game skid with the third-period tally. The 23-year-old blueliner continues to see top-four minutes, but the Red Wings' injury-depleted lineup has taken some punch out of the team's offense. Edvinsson now has nine goals, 21 points, 71 shots on net, 71 PIM, 71 hits, 123 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating across 57 appearances this season.

Two points in OT loss
Edvinsson scored a goal and added an assist in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Golden Knights.
Impact
Both points came in the first period as Detroit jumped out to a 3-1 lead, but it slipped away late. It was Edvinsson's first multi-point performance since Dec. 20, and while the 23-year-old blueliner isn't yet supplying consistent offense for the Wings, he's hardly been a disappointment. Over 52 games this season, Edvinsson's delivered eight goals, 20 points, 113 blocked shots, 68 hits, 67 PIM, 63 shots on net and a plus-8 rating.

Mixed results in loss
Edvinsson scored a goal, added four PIM and doled out two hits in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Hurricanes.
Impact
Edvinsson's outing started poorly, as two of his miscues led to Carolina goals. He got the Red Wings on the board late in the second period, but his double-minor for high-sticking late in the third period essentially ended Detroit's chances at a comeback. The goal was his first point in two games since he returned from a lower-body injury that cost him seven contests. The 23-year-old blueliner has seven goals, 18 points, 60 shots on net, 65 PIM, 66 hits and 109 blocked shots over 50 appearances in his second full NHL campaign.

Removed from IR
Edvinsson (lower body) was taken off injured reserve ahead of Thursday's matchup with Ottawa, per the NHL media site.
Impact
Edvinsson looks set to return following a seven-game stint on injured reserve due to his lower-body injury. In 48 games this year, the 23-year-old blueliner notched six goals and 11 helpers and may be hard-pressed to get back over the 30-point threshold like last year.

Placed on injured reserve
Edvinsson (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday.
Impact
The Red Wings announced Monday that Edvinsson had been ruled out through the Olympic break, so his placement on injured reserve is simply procedural. Justin Holl and Sheldon Dries were called up Thursday to provide additional depth in Edvinsson's absence. Across 48 appearances this year, Edvinsson has accumulated six goals, 11 assists, 104 blocked shots, 63 hits and 54 PIM while averaging 22:35 of ice time.

Shut down through Olympics
Edvinsson (lower body) will not return until after the Olympic break, Daniella Bruce of the Red Wings' official site reports Monday.
Impact
Edvinsson likely would have been in the mix to be an injury replacement for Sweden if he wasn't dealing with a lower-body injury of his own. With the blueliner ruled out for the next five games, he almost certainly will be designated for injured reserve in order to give Detroit an open roster spot for a recall.

Won't play Saturday
Edvinsson (lower body) won't be in the lineup against Winnipeg on Saturday, per Jonathan Mills of the Red Wings' official site.
Impact
Edvinsson will miss his second straight game, and it's unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup. He has accounted for six goals, 17 points, 57 shots on net, 104 blocked shots and 63 hits across 48 appearances this season. Travis Hamonic replaced Edvinsson in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to Minnesota, but the Red Wings also have Erik Gustafsson as an option for Saturday's contest.

Unavailable Thursday
Edvinsson is a late scratch Thursday versus Minnesota because of a lower-body injury.
Impact
Edvinsson has six goals, 17 points, 54 PIM, 63 hits and 104 blocks in 48 outings in 2025-26. Travis Hamonic will play Thursday as a result of Edvinsson's absence.

Nets tying goal
Edvinsson scored a goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime win over the Maple Leafs.
Impact
Edvinsson ended a six-game point drought with his goal late in the first period, tying the contest at 1-1. The 22-year-old defenseman has remained firmly in a top-four role even with his drop in offense during January. For the season, he's at six goals, 17 points, 57 shots on net, 63 hits, 104 blocked shots, 54 PIM and a plus-6 rating over 48 appearances. His all-around production makes him a decent option in deeper fantasy formats.
